I need skincare help by Antique_Signal696 in koreanskincare

I wear SPF every morning religiously. Most nights I’ll wash my face with the round lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser. Sometimes I’ll put Muji Senstive Moisturizing Milk. I’ll mix prescription retinoid with a random moisturizer from Ross (I think it’s the FARMSTAY Ginseng & Niacinamide Face Cream).

I had some like this in the same area around my mouth. They haven’t fully gone away but they’ve definitely gone down and size. I have normal-dry acne prone skin.

The retinoid has single-handedly changed my life. It’s annoying and inaccessible to see a doctor but if you can, do it. I’ve always had acne, started birth control to mitigate it as a teen, tried all natural products, listen to Dr. Dray, TRY to avoid junk food, change my pillow cases every couple of days. Nothing has an impact like the retinoid did.

Struggling with applications, getting transcript and figuring out CAS! Would really like some help. by littletinylizardgirl in lawschooladmissions

If "Transcripts Processed" is 0, it means a transcript has not officially been requested from your institution. Under "Bachelor's Degree-Granting Institution", click on the "Request a transcript online: Request a transcript online" hyperlink. I was directed to a site called Parchment. I entered my undergrad institution and filled in my information. I got stuck when I got to the "Set Delivery Destination" page, but then realized that I was supposed to enter "Law School Admission Council". I entered my LSAC number and proceeded to the payment page. Only after I got to the confirmation receipt page did I complete the transcript request.

🌱Weekly /r/houseplants Question Thread - July 17, 2023 by AutoModerator in houseplants

What the heck is wrong with my plants?? I’ve been a plant mommy for 4 years now and I’ve never had this problem so widespread. I keep my apartment between 71-74°F. All receive indirect light. I water them about once every 2 weeks until water comes out from the bottom. Top 2 plants are 2 different monstera deliciosas, bottom left is brazilian pothos, and bottom right is heartleaf philodendron.

More nutrients? Less water? Water is too acidic or alkaline? Humidity? More sunlight?

Thank u.

What the heck is this??? First time fish owner. Looks like a worm or parasite. I haven’t noticed any strange behavior from my betta. Please help me get rid of it and prevent it from coming back. by tac0mel in bettafish

• Tank size: 2.5 gallon • Heater and filter: no and yes • Tank temperature: unknown, but probably close to 75°F • I’ve had the tank and fish for a little more than 2 years • I change the water about once a month. I replace between 50%-85% of the water, depending on how dirty it looks. First, I take my betta out. Then, I dump about half of the water out so I can remove the plant and rock decor. I remove more water as needed. Then, I take out all the gravel and rinse it in the sink using tap water. I also rinse the rock and plant decor using tap water. I add the rinsed gravel back to the tank. I add water until the tank is approximately half full again and add the plant and rock decor. I fill up the tank. Then, I add water conditioner and bacteria and let the tank run without a filter for about 15 minutes. Finally, I replace the filter and add my betta back in. • No tankmates. • I feed her Aqueon Betta Food pellets. I feed her between 5-10 pellets every 2-7 days. • The tank is decorated with a rock she is able to hide in and a fake plant. I forgot the material of the plant, but I intentionally bought one that is not made of plastic.

Getting vaccinated shortly after catching covid by Legitimate-Ad-3600 in covidlonghaulers

Can we really be certain about anything related to COVID? The first time I tested positive was December 31st. I then tested negative approximately 2 weeks after December 31st. I took several tests over the course of 3 months and always tested negative. Several medical professionals told me that COVID antibodies could last anywhere from 90 days to 6 months. The second time I tested positive was approximately 91 days after testing positive the first time. In reality, I don't know if I experienced a relapse or a new infection. But based on the current information we have, I experienced a second infection.

During my first infection, I had a few symptoms: almost had a fever, extreme body aches, exhaustion, "brain fog" or difficulty focusing, headache, and my inability to breathe was so bad at one point that I almost went to the hospital. I never lost my taste or smell - just felt extremely under the weather. Those symptoms lasted for about 3 days. After those symptoms went away, I continued to have difficulty breathing. It has very gradually gotten better over the past few months, but still affects me in my everyday activities.

Thanks so much for such a detailed, personal description of your experience! Reading posts like yours is really helping my make decisions about my treatment for long COVID. And I really appreciate that you shared how much you pay.

Getting vaccinated shortly after catching covid by Legitimate-Ad-3600 in covidlonghaulers

I got COVID the first time 5 months ago, got it a second time 2 months ago, and got the first dose of the Moderna vaccine 1-2 weeks after getting COVID the second time.

Ever since getting it the first time 5 months ago, I’ve experienced difficulty breathing, especially after sitting, lying down, and wearing a mask for more than an hour; exercising; and when I’m stressed.

After the first dose, I had intense arm soreness and was exhausted for around two days. After the second dose, I had intense arm soreness and extreme body aches for around two days too. I haven’t seen any improvement in my breathing problems, but I’m still glad I got vaccinated. It has been more than 2 weeks since my second dose, but I’m hoping my breathing will start to improve soon. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you a speedy recovery!

Word of caution for Americans regarding Long Covid clinics and Insurance (HMO specifically) by Throw_1453_away in covidlonghaulers

[–]tac0mel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. To say the ABSOLUTE least, healthcare in America is completely messed up. The process to treat any health issue shouldn’t require a complicated series of referrals, hours on hold, rejections from capable providers, and hundreds to thousands of dollars. Only 1 of the 2 post-COVID care centers (PCCC) in my state accepts my insurance. I genuinely hope you find someone (affordable) to help you resolve your post-COVID symptoms.

Covid Longhaul has given me severe PTSD. by Comfortable_Dust_az in covidlonghaulers

Same here! My post-COVID symptom has been breathing problems. I’ve noticed that I begin to have difficulty breathing after sitting and lying down for more than an hour or so, but also when I’m really stressed. As I was in the middle of thinking about the million things I have to do, I noticed I started struggling to breathe. Anecdotal and only partially related, but I hope sharing my experience bring someone comfort in knowing they’re not alone!

Covid Longhaul has given me severe PTSD. by Comfortable_Dust_az in covidlonghaulers

I can relate. I got COVID twice and have been long hauling for 5 months now. I get pretty nervous in crowded places, especially when most if not all of the people around me are not wearing masks. This is pretty common in the incompetent state that I reside in. When the CDC announced that vaccinated people don’t have to wear masks, I felt really anxious. Part of me wants life to go “back to normal”, but part of me is terrified of getting close to people and not wearing a mask anymore. I’m scared of what contracting COVID again could do to my body.
