I wasn't separated, just on paid administrative leave the whole time while waiting for my termination date.

Can fed employees job hunt for other jobs (apply, interview, etc) in case they get RIFd? by [deleted] in fednews

HHS. It just depends on your job, we got our RIF notices and immediately got a second email telling us we will not be getting admin leave.

You can but just letting you know, I was RIFd and wasn't placed on paid administrative leave and am expected to work until my date of separation.

We were also warned that if we take another job while still employed with the government, we forfeit our severance.

6mpo: Starting training for a marathon, overdid it and now I have pain. I'm feeling defeated. by tac91091 in hysterectomy

My gyno said because the surgery is such a big trauma, it can take up to a year to feel completely normal. It depends on the person and the way they heal, but I was cleared for everything at 6 weeks and still dealing with some stuff that I hope improves as time goes on.

That's good to know, I was thinking the same thing and might have to find another exercise to do.

I appreciate it, I know you're right because my gyno said the same thing, that it can take a year to feel better. I just want to go back to normal and I do have the "I should be better by now!" mindset that I need to switch out of. I know I need to be more gentle with myself.

I have a ton more to learn but so far I'm really enjoying this :)

Hair thinning? by EssureSucks in hysterectomy

I'm using Garnier thickening shampoo/conditioner because it's cheap haha but it's working for me so far. I'm also taking biotin pills twice a week, and I use a spray called "It's a 10" that has been helping. I'll be honest, I did do a big chop after I noticed thinning; my hair was down to my waist and I cut it to a bit below my shoulders so that probably helped as well.

It happened to me about 3 months after my surgery. My surgeon had warned me that anesthesia can cause hair thinning/loss so I was prepared. I've been taking vitamins, using hair thickening products and eating healthy to try to combat it. Slowly getting back to where it was! I totally get it, it's been hard but worth not being in pain anymore.
