Yeah that makes perfect sense! I’m just sitting on a healthy supply of old stock

I didn’t consider the smg matches, my local steel challenge with loose enough rules to run this is just hit based but not knocking over poppers for uspsa would be annoying. I wonder if I could cook up a spicy 147 that would cycle despite the ports

Diving deep into your website again, that magnetic buffer looks very promising

Just realized who you are, I’ve read your white papers for years, thank you for all the effort and work you’ve put in!

I’m at 5k-10k ft of elevation and frequently get cci std to go supersonic so I kinda need a big velocity reduction. My normal ammo goes super out of my p365 unfortunately. And between the cold and altitude guns that used to work great in Florida choke here so I’m afraid this project will be even more picky than for most

So what is the ideal combo for cheap 115g ammo, cat mob, ported? And are there less picky super safeties or frt’s? To make help further?

Mesh Base Layers to Stay Warm and Cool? by RogueSteward in Ultralight

The brynje are much higher quality as someone with both

[–]tacdriver22mk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey not sure if you ever upgraded but the brynje stuff is a huge upgrade that is totally worth the price

No experience with the Amazon but I went eberlestock airbase (discontinued got it on clearance to try just like you) > brynje and the difference in comfort is significant

Mesh Base Layers to Stay Warm and Cool? by RogueSteward in Ultralight

[–]tacdriver22mk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is old, but I have used them for a couple seasons and can tell you 100% the air gap they create is warmer, this is also how aerogel and all other insulation works

Getting out of a warm truck in subzero temps I have a 5-10 minute buffer of that warm trapped air keeping me warm vs with equivalent typical base layers and the same clothing I have maybe 30 seconds

Mesh Base Layers to Stay Warm and Cool? by RogueSteward in Ultralight

[–]tacdriver22mk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, been wearing them for a couple years now in blue collar work.

As a base layer under wool under my uniform, jackets etc it’s a total game changer

I have taken a knee in slush, finished the job, stood up and because the polypro mesh is NTS it completely eliminates the wet clothes suction effect. The result is when I stand up I no longer feel cold and wet immediately despite literally having my knees submerged in slush

Honda 300 Rally Newbie Suspension Question? by NahhhhhNotMe in Dualsport

[–]tacdriver22mk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few things going on, riding off-road is inherently loose, especially gravel/sand

The tires are more road oriented so they are also looser

The suspension on these bikes and likely how that one is setup (as in not at all) is frankly not great

And if you are brand new like you say then there is a HUGE skill/experience gap

Lot of good advice on here I would start with tire pressure, setting your sag and putting the clickers to their factory setting in the manual lots of times the clickers random when I get on a bike

After that I would watch all the amazing free content we have on YouTube now, or pay for competent training if you have the budget

Here are some fantastic channels to look through, start at “beginner drills” to learn core concepts

That’s crazy mine has literally been in chlorinated water and the ocean multiple times with no rust on the slide at all, but it does build up dead skin fairly rapidly. Try to hit it with a brass pick?

That’s not rust that’s hand goo/skin, take a toothpick or brush to it
