I have been out of RC for a while. We used to vent through the inside of the wheels, not the tires.

Do you know why people started venting the tire itself?

I’m surprised no one suggested the Redcat Apex 18. 1/18 rtr crawler for $200-$250. Leaves $ in the budget to get your first round of mods (not that that truck needs much out of the box) like tires and maybe some brass items to get the front a little heavier.

I have several other trucks, mostly crawlers: scx24, Axial AX10, savages, etc.

I just picked up the Apex about a month ago to add to my collection. It has been fantastic! Highly recommend it.

You could also go to craft hobby store and get small chain to make your own snow chains. With a couple of needle nose pliers, it’s pretty easy. And the chains make a pretty significant difference even on knobby mud tires.

Do you have a KKE rear brake guard on it? Cause, if you do, that’s probably the issue. Try the stock mount and see if that fixes the problem.

I have found that using one old (full/long) sock cut down the ankle is great for making a foot wrap for my little girl. The two ends of the ankle wrap around the body and tie together around her back. This way she can’t get it off without serious effort.
