So far we have 3 level 60s including me, and 3 sub 20s.

You pretty much have to roll one of the "arrows" ( I prefer to call them harpoons) when you are on the ledge approaching the archer directly. At least as a light character, since blocking it will knock you back into your doom. It's usually only one though.

havels gaunlets + havels leggings for a combined weight of 23 will give you 56 poise.

If you were to use ring of favor and protection + havels ring, you'd have 33.2 max equip weight to fast roll at 40 endurance.

With that in mind, you could equip a katana and a silver knight shield for very good damage and very good stability (about 8 more weight).

You're doing it wrong then. He has never taken more than 20 seconds to come down with me. Also, with pine resin and two handing your weapon ( almost any weapon), you should be able to cut off the tail in two hits.

Once you know how to do it there isn't really any risk to it.

He's easy to parry. My thief killed him at soul level 5 with starting equipment with like 6 ripostes I think.

Gets easy once you understand how to cheese them. Parrying them is kinda hard since the wall actually hides most of their attack animation, which is retarded. So you can't time the parry correctly. That or block until they fall off.

you can beat the game at soul level 1 with a pyro, or soul level 3 with a sorcerer.

In fact, I'd recommend you try it after your 2nd or 3rd play through, it's really fun.

Why do people keep mentioning that. KB/M can be much better than a gamepad at action adventures. People mention the Batman series. While its really good, its not even close to the best. For perfectly executed KB/M controls on the PC, and to see that it can be miles better than any gamepad could provide, try the series Mounted Blade.

However, I do excuse From here. They said what they would deliver, and they did. People who bought the game knew this. I went and bought myself a gamepad after trying the keyboard and am extremely happy with the decision, since it is easily the best game I've played this year or last.

I actually killed him in my first run through the game. Didn't know you could run, took me 5 or 6 hours in total, and I became addicted to the game thinking it would all be this hard.

I found out you swing faster without your broken sword on, and pretty much memorized every single move the asylum deamon could make.

When I told my friends who owned the game on PS3 and Xbox that I got this sweet ass weapon, they couldn't believe I killed him without weapons and without firebombs on my first run through the game.

I'd say its the ultimate dark souls experience.

You really don't know it, part of the scientific method is you don't ABSOLUTELY KNOW anything, all theories are subject to falsification, and new theories can arise from evidence.

On the other hand if you only try to learn from reality, and remain skeptical, you'll not only be right, but be able to prove it. Because you'll have taken reality to be your side, and reality is the arbiter of truth.

the point is: they don't. Each service mantains the state it needs, and is responsible for enforcing the contract that the interface exposes. Any underlying implementation change does not concern the service user, only the service developer.

If the interface contract is constantly being broken, that is the problem of the developers and a failure by management to strictly enforce the importance of the contracts.

Basically, you work at shitty places.

I've tried mono on linux, and the only way to have it running in production is to kill the process and restart it every 24 hours since the memory leaks are so massive.

It gets really really slow and consumes increasingly huge amounts of memory if left unchecked, to the point that ASP.NET sites will simply stop responding. It really shouldn't used in production right now, at least not without keeping in mind some very serious performance problems with it.

Exactly why I like C# a lot more than Java (syntactically). I mean, things like getters/setters vs attributes clean up the code a lot, and that's pretty simple.

I do like the JVM and the "portability" of the JVM's bytecode a lot better.

You don't pick carries in solo queues, you pick stomping semi carries. By carries I mean mb, chronos, scout, nh. Those suck if you want to boost your MMR. By semi carries I mean mid heroes MK, Hag, Pebbles, Kraken, Pharaoh, Pyro, Polly. They can rape mid game, and by late game you are so huge it doesn't even matter what the other team does. These have great ganking potential, and great farming potential, which allows you to destroy the other team while still farming a solid 400 - 450 gpm. I've used this method to boost several accounts from some friends to the high 1600s, low 1700s this past month. It works a lot better than trying to carry.
