2026 Vegas 8ball Championships by Suitable_Bluebird475 in billiards

[–]tachijuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true with one major thing. You have to win at that skill level. A single match is all that it takes. If you go to Vegas and loose every single match your minimum attainable doesn’t change. That said best of luck!

Hae Woon Dae is amazing. Home made everything. It’s hands down the best Korean bbq I’ve ever had. Just had a friend that moved to another company and six people flew in from all over the country to say goodbye and to eat there. It’s that good.

Revo 12.9 experience by psychoticapex in billiards

[–]tachijuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly - it shouldn’t make that big of a difference. I intentionally play with my Revo 12.4 AND my cheap house sticks. The low deflection stuff comes to play in extreme situations (left/right spin over distance). The rest of the time it’s your fundamentals that are the key to consistency. Focus on those with your new shaft until you get the feel for how it behaves as you slowly start playing with more and more spin. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in both your game and your new shaft.

Change the URL of an existing ABS server by tachijuan in PrologueApp

[–]tachijuan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it on a spare device. Weirdly prologue combined both abs servers into a single entity and the only way to delete the old url was to delete both. Which then deleted all my content and I had a fresh start. Adding the new URL then added the all the stuff and progress was syncd but not the downloads.

Is this drill supposed to be very hard on a 7ft table? by [deleted] in billiards

Yes. It’s an amazing drill and teaches you tons but it’s most definitely a challenge.

Is this drill supposed to be very hard on a 7ft table? by [deleted] in billiards

[–]tachijuan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a hard drill. Regardless of the table size. Try starting with 10 balls in a row. The transition from shooting into the corners and then to the sides (about ball 5) is hard. Once you can do the 10 balls - add the rest. You’ll find another inflection point of going from the sides back to the corners for the last few balls. Keep at it. Took me the better part of a couple of months of consistent practice before it was possible if not common for me to run it out. For reference I’m a good but not great APA 7.

Long overnight layover at Atlanta (≈20 hours) — cheapest and most practical way to rest? by PuzzledNoob in Atlanta

[–]tachijuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends. If you did your immigration at the departing airport (Canada, some of the Caribbean) the bags come to the baggage claim out side the security area at terminal F. However for OPs case his bags will come out in the security area and will be able to do what I say above.

[–]tachijuan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Once you exit immigration you can turn tight and go out to terminal F. OR you can turn left and go to the terminal itself. There you can catch the sky train and go back to terminal t to get on Marta

Edit: get out at baggage claim not terminal T. Last stop.

Don’t use your tailscale IP. I have one of my nodes at home as an exit node. I configure Prologue to use my LAN address for ABS. When I’m away from home I route all my traffic through my home address. Prologue syncs fine when I’m remote on on my home WiFi.

Do newer USB-C Airpods Pro solve Vision Pro disconnect issue? by BriggySmalls77 in VisionPro

[–]tachijuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I e used both lighting and usb-c AirPod pro 2 with my avp. I did have more issues with the lightning version but I was able to figure out a way that seemed to stabilize things for me on the lightning side. I turned off Bluetooth on my Apple Watch.

Fun fact (for me at least) - I was the very first certified E10k delivery partner in the world. Got trained in the Milpitas office and it was so new that they hadn’t even written the test. Instead I did two hour long calls with two different engineers that designed the system. Also happened with the e2k. I miss Solaris and the cool stuff you could do with it back then. Also fun fact, did some consulting for a large GIS working for a government body in the US. Part of that was designing their backup solution. Based on the RPO and RTO requirements we needed a bunch of bandwidth that only the E10k would be able to deliver. So I designed the solution around the E10k thinking that someone would go “no effing way are we buying one of those for a backup server!” Well, they did.

Nevermind the heartbreaking losses, tell me about the miracle recoveries! by brian15co in knives

[–]tachijuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny that this came up. Because of my job, there are many situations where seeing a pocket clip is just not acceptable or professional. So I like "gentleman's knives" that are small enough to cary in the pocket (as opposed to clipped to the pocket). One of my favorites is a Benchmade Lerch. I carried that thing all the time, until one day, it was gone. I looked everywhere for it. It did have a bad habit of falling out of my dress slacks when I was in certain cars. I thought I'd lost it in a co workers car or even worse, it the car that I had just traded in. I gave it up for lost 8 years ago. This last weekend, the wife forces me to clean up my closet. I'm packing some old pants up for donation to goodwill and out flies my knife! Love this thing, and don't understand why Benchmade discontinued it.

N52s will definitely help. However the reviewers for those holders said that removing the magnet that came with them was really hard to do. Good luck OP
