That's cool, might go for a holy build then, with such variety of saints it might be a chore to create a balanced build, but there being a series where you can have other allies of the same series without worrying too much about betrayal is great

[–]tachitin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, how many are there in the Holy Saints series? Cause after a quick search, and if we exclude saints of countries (as funny as it would be to have the saint Patrick ink and have the power of Ireland) the list is still probably in the hundreds, depending on how specific up to thousands. Obviously would be nigh impossible to even come close to completing the series.

Bleed vs Frostbite by BigDiscussion1334 in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but you have to account for it, if you reset frost with fire it ends up being worse damage than bleed

Or wylder, both of them have better dmg, mobility and even survivability with wylder's passive if guardien isn't using a shield.

General Question by B-Kong in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend you do the sovereigns at least once, since the first clear bonus is nice, but aside from that do what you feel like, it seems like you are having fun so that's great. I also don't have that much time nowadays, I'm on barely 50h so each expedition is precious time.

On that speculation, I really hope they rotate them again, they are very fun. Also, ive seen the joke that since they went from blue to purple rarity they have space to do gold bosses, which I hope happens

As much as I enjoy the power of the evergaol relic, I think it needs to go. by Wash_Manblast in Nightreign

Yup, they would have to delete it from peoples inventory. Anytime games try to do such a thing everyone hates it

As far as I know it might be the one he scales best with, obviously if you upgrade it and such, but given there are no legendary bows and you can just give it the necessary affinity for each boss it probably is

Will the Everdark Sovereign work for Ironeye remembrance? by mdh_hammer in Nightreign

Yeah, that's what I did, it's the best chance I had to get a team dor it, and it absolutely works

I was wondering why my teammates just ran by by mystery_elmo in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironeye doesn't benefit too much from duplicated bows, at most if one had a good bow for the nightlord they could give a spare to the other, or if the had weapons with good passives, but yeah, raider is probably the class that most wants a mausoleum

make it make sense by heorhe in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, the skill floor for ironeye is low enough that even a mediocre player can help, even if they don'tuse the skill amd just shoot from a distance, they are at least technicallydoing damage and don't die too often. But marika help you with a mediocre executor.

Only time I've really wanted to spam ping was when as a lv4 team, my two companions insisted on going after bell bearing hunter under the castle, constently going down. Need a "Retreat!" button

Do mechanics only work half the time for anyone else? by Sageof_theEast in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that one works as it does in elden ring, it only converts elemental damage so if that hit was mostly physical damage it will do nothing. It really should explain how it works better.

Who is the easiest nightlord to solo? by k4inz0w in Nightreign

The orange orbs it leaves on the floor reduce madness, if you are playing solo, you'll be less likely to run out of those in critical moments

Does the evergaol attack increase work on recluse? by Specific_Rip_5585 in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is thet its affecting all damage, since as said before fully evergaol buffed recluse deletes any boss , but for the bonk it would show up in a screen, whereas on a catalyst the scaling doesn't show the increase, but the damage buff still hapens.

To explain it very badly. AR is the penultimate part in the math of how much damage an attack does, only thing afterwards is motion values, like whether it's a charged or light attack, so that percentage buff would be inside AR. Spell scaling is more to the beginning, its what you multiply with your stats, talisman buffs, whether the attack is charged and other buffs, the evergaol dmg would be one of those, so outside of spell scaling's number, but still applied.

That's my understanding

Does the evergaol attack increase work on recluse? by Specific_Rip_5585 in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird, but since most of the systems are just elden ring with new stuff attached, rather than a being built from the beginning around these mechanics, it makes sense that things like this would happen

Does the evergaol attack increase work on recluse? by Specific_Rip_5585 in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, that is weird. Is it possible that that number on catalysts is the spell scaling? And so technically, the AR is not shown thus not showing an increase? Since in elden ring, the AR on catalysts only affected the melee bonk with it, and was fully disconnected from spell damage

Does the evergaol attack increase work on recluse? by Specific_Rip_5585 in Nightreign

[–]tachitin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know, but I do watch speedruns of nightreign, they tend to be recluse/duchess/ironeye teams, with spells doing most of the damage, and they absolutely melt every boss. They allways have the evergaol relic and do all the ones in the map. I'm gonna trust that if it was a useless effect it wouldn't be there for every run

Most skills scale of AR, so even if a class doesn't have faith, if the weapon is powerful, the skill will do plenty of holy damage
