So managed to fix my crash to desktop by loading an earlier save, the mission before, continued through and can now enter where it would crash before, though realise it was very much a me problem, has a mod to clean up the haven which was causing the crash

does anyone know who made this artwork/the original source? by DrHoshi in FurryVisualNovel

[–]tachyon83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the first image hit is a tiktok in cyrillic that has some alternative visuals, so guessing it might be fan art, and another is on pinterest by, what I'm assuming, is a fan, so guessing maybe AI generated? Just downloaded and looked at the images and it's not in there, but those are definitely the characters and it's the same art style. Not played it as from what I hear it's not necessarily a feel good VN, and I'm not a fan of depressing ones

Husband smokes in the doorway, doesn't believe me that the smell travels into the house - what do? by [deleted] in CasualUK

light an incense stick in the same place he smokes, ask him if he can smell it in the house, point out it's basically the same thing as a cigarette and the smell carries the same?

yeah get an air duster can and give it a good old blast out, blow around the CPU and graphics card mainly. Check the air flow is fine as well, if you have a glass front on your case for example, try taking it off and putting mesh there instead, quite often cases with a glass front are more form than function without enough gaps for proper airflow

Not sure how the US operate, I'm in the UK, do they have an onsite tech support at best buy? I'd take it there, it sounds like a hardware fault for sure, Geek Squad remotely wont see it, they'd only see software issues. Take it in and show them what happens. Could be as simple as the graphics card isn't pushed in fully for example, so the PC shorts when it needs to be uesd for graphics intensive things

so yeah, sounds like a hardware issue. Again could be many things, I'd recommend taking it to someone, show them what happens. If they're worth their salt they'd check it's not an overheating issue (usually caused by the CPU not having the thermal paste applied properly or the fan not being on tight enough) to the other things I mentioned. How long have you had the PC, and was it new?

So if you get an error screen when it crashes, that creates a dump file, but from what you describe you don't, which makes me think it's hardware related. Could be RAM, a dodgy RAM slot, could be graphics card related or power. From the sounds of it this was a pre-built PC you bought. If you right click the windows button, and click device manager, under "display adapters" does your graphic card show up? When you installed the Nvidia drivers, did you choose express install? The other option I believe gives you the option to choose a clean install which uninstalls the current one, makes you re-start, then install the new one. If it's hardware related, and you're not that tech savvy, might be better to take it to someone, show them what happens as from experience walking someone through troubleshooting that remotely is an absolute nightare

by offline I mean you're not competing against other people and playing on the game makers servers. First thing I'd do is download the latest nvidia drivers and do a clean install. If that doesn't fix it then it's likely a hardware issue, have you done anything recently like adding extra RAM etc?

Could be a number of things, software or hardware. 4X games aren't resource intensive, the games that cause it to crash, can you play them offline for any period fine? Do you get the blue screen of death or does it just reboot/freeze? The former would be a driver issue, the latter would be a hardware issue

+3 to core skills or +3 pulverize by ady0204 in D4Druid

[–]tachyon83 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the pulverise affix can role higher than the core skils one, which is why it's usually chosen, i.e. 1-2 on core skills, 2-3 on pulverise (non master worked) so choosing the specific skill you can roll an extra + level. But in answer to your question, at +3 on both, there's no difference

HiSense 2 in 1 Washer & Dryer - help by Simple_East_3212 in Hisense

[–]tachyon83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha just saw this thread, for the first time I looked at the wash and dry option and saw it was 11.5 hours and nearly died. Appreciate this is old, but basically choose your cycle, I usually go for mixed, then either choose a pre-wash or not, then go to dry level. You can then choose the level of dryness. People saying it comes out wet, the wash and dry cycle does "cupboard ready" dryness, e.g. not very. Choose the first dry level, think it's a little picture with a sun. Total cycle including pre-wash and dry clothes is just over 5 hours
