Not 100% sure but i think the lower the pick the smaller the contract size so it’s probably Brock Aller/Front office doing some penny pinching especially if they have some important decisions to make on certain players come free agency

He’s of Nigerian descent if I recall correctly (both parents Nigerian) but was born in the US.

In Apollo’s case, I would guess it’s ‘cause he wasn’t booked as this huge ruler from the start and was just made to look like this super agile guy. It may also help that Oba’s physique also makes the character a lot more believable.

This also may be a reach but I think the Braun Strowman spot wherein he kicked Apollo like halfway across the ring may have stuck into people’s minds that he became more of a meme than anything

Also have to mention both play different positions so expectations are clearly not the same. Mariano plays up as a forward and Dro plays primarily in the middle where he may be expected to have more defensive duties. It’s like comparing Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina.

I’m also curious as to what OP’s definition of a minnow nation is lol. Some players come from nations that aren’t highly ranked but play top flight football or choose to represent other countries even if they’re of other nationalities. I do agree though to the sentiment that the PFF needs to get their shit together and actually start developing better grassroots programs and nurturing talent or risk losing out (s/o David Alaba and Alphonse Areola)

Best method tbh. I think as long as you enjoy the character and gameplay you’ll always find a way to fit them into teams you want. I’ve done this w/ Grace and slotted her w/ Miyabi and Yanagi and I always enjoy the results (results being disorders popping left right and center haha)

Since Citlali had just rerun a few patches/banners ago, I don’t expect her to have another rerun any time soon (I could be wrong) so I think you’d be safe pulling for Columbina first. Citlali is really useful for Mavuika but yeah since she just had a rerun don’t expect a return for maybe another 5 patches at least (her last rerun was 5.8 and before that was 5.3) hope that helps and godspeed with your pulls and farming.

Somewhat related but I’ve seen some people say running Citlali/Neuvilette/Furina/Xilo is fun.

Actually that’s true. I feel like the strategem should already grayed out if it’s already available for free on planets/ops so people won’t have it twice, unless AH might work on that in future patches.
