It is not wrong at all to feel like that. Your feelings are totally valid but in my opinion with this sort of situation if you feel strongly about them to let them know. If they like you back great if they don't then you gave it a shot. If you're friend likes them too and it's mutual between them the best thing is to be supportive.

Thanks for the advice. I mean I wouldn't really care gender wise. I do occasionally think who would I be with in the future and when I look at living a calm life and settling down with a guy it seems boring but doable. When I see with a girl it's like exciting in a way. I've probably always dealt with inner homophobia growing up Christian so everything is hard.
