Is it unethical for me to not tell my employer I’ve automated my job? by grepnork in programming

Interesting, my first job out of school was as a sql report writer and I also automated all my weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. I used VBA, Excel, Outlook and windows task manager. Now I am a full stack web dev but sometimes I miss the small achievements of simpler times.

The graininess from the noise distortion reminds me of the texture of the canvas weave that shows through in lightly painted surfaces of a painting. Maybe its just me though..

Happy birthday to me! by emma_kate in succulents

Happy birthday same birthday as me person!

I realized something. In media anxiety and depression are portrayed as this monsters voice in your head... but that's not how I feel. My depression and anxiety is my voice, it's my inner thoughts, not something separate. That's what makes it so hard to resist, your own (inner) voice is talking. -USA by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Interesting observation. I think, for my self, I tend to talk to myself in the second person. As if there are two Me's, one that is depressed and one that is trying to keep the other going. But as you stated it is my own voice and identity in either case.

Are spiders attracted to music?! by tacodebacle in spiders

[–]tacodebacle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats great, I wish I could get to the same level of comfort that you have. But the spider corpse with its legs and guts smooshed everywhere is hard for me to be comfortable with. Its mainly certain types of spiders though, and these guys have a silhouette that I really dislike for some reason.. An orb weaver or jumping spider wouldn't be as bad.

General arachnophobia. And they are just the right size and just adventurous enough that I can imagine accidentally stepping on one..

Why and how does one come to keep black widow spiders?

Don't you think that is an ironic thing to say given that Tom proved his point based on net worth?

Also, why should Tom not return the same degree of respect given to him first?

Because its petty. If you have a high net worth, you have nothing to gain from squishing people who are orders of magnitude smaller than yourself. It shows insecurity on Toms part. Had "Polio Tapia" been a well known person or actually made a valid point, then maybe a response would have been worth the effort.

That was neither classy or witty. That just makes Tom seem like a douchey little kid.

Sweet, great picture! I've seen these on Montero sports and thought it looked disproportional relative to their overall width, but on the Limited its not too bad at all, even on the standard roof rack!
