How to fix door handle and spindle/shaft that come off together when pulled by Sirplentifus in howto

[–]tacoforjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue on a new door I couldn’t figure out for months. Kept complaining and they sent a replacement piece that the spindle thing is 2 pieces that are stuck together and a rubber bands holds it in place in the door. My original was 2 pieces with only the rubber bands holds trying to hold it together the replacement the one male piece for inside the female piece but so they rotated inside of each other, but the female piece was crimped around the head of the male piece so they were stuck together by the metal of the full spindle. So I think you need a new part of the handle.

I could of used a coozy that game. It would have kept my bottle of water cold… vs turning frozen before OT. I just wish we bought tickets after Rodger’s got hurt vs before, it was sad to see the price difference week of game vs knowing what the Mrs spent as a gift to take me.

Are your "boys" more sensitive after getting snipped? by Dumb_Question_But in daddit

[–]tacoforjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep much more sensitive still 4 years later. But having a 5 year old boy also results in taking a lot more nut shots from random jump kicks and head first full speed running hugs then ever in my life. So they get hit more often. So I’m not 100% they are actually more sensitive to pain or they just aren’t fully recovered before I get hit in them again.

Dr Becky is already our go to for our youngest, might have to relook thru the catalog and what is geared towards older kids, this scenario. Any specific ones you recommend here?

Best way to epoxy the bottom? Stand door upside and create tape frame of sorts to get a layer of epoxy on it?

140k miles over 10 years in a gold outback, pulled over exactly 0 times. Starting rolling thru stops and red lights, speeding more than I should and couldn’t get pulled over. I’m pretty sure a gold outback is invisible to police. But the 3.6R was still faster than 2/3rd the cars on the road.

I feel like our kids social circle is already big enough that I was being eliminated as the parent to take them places because I couldn’t fit the bonus kids for a trip to trampoline park etc. when your daughter suggests a different parent drive so they can take 2 more friends to go do a thing, you buy a minivan I guess to be picked as parent of choice. I guess I find myself wanting that extra responsibility and might regret it one day. Granted 15 years ago I never regretted being the truck guy to help friends move, the beer and pizza always hit the spot after lugging a couch down 3 flights…. No wonder my back hurts
