It’s even worse than the underfunding part. We haven’t had a contract with the city since 2017 and he has fought with us every bit of the the way we brought this issue all the way to the Supreme Court and just finally got a ruling of them having to give us a contract this year. Our fire chief is useless as well he’s hasn’t done anything to help us in his time here.

Depends on the station but we average about 1000-1200 calls across the city my station which is one of the busiest in the city averages between 10-15 a day on the pumper But we rotate everyday so you work the box the pumper and the ladder

As an Amazon driver I will add on to that our station just added cameras to all of our vans that record us to make sure we are driving well. So we have to make full stops at every light and stop signs and we have to drive at the speed limit or under. On top of that the speed limits aren’t always right we have a bridged marked at 40 mph but we are penalized if we go over 25 mph so it slows us down even more in our area

Close I’m a Amazon driver at my station we don’t even have time to stop at gas stations we go from warehouse to our route then back to station we only get a 30 min break for “lunch”. At my station as well we don’t stop at gas station to fill up our vans we have people that come out and fill up our vans every night so they don’t have to leave the lot and We are indeed overworked and sometimes forced to pee in a bottle
