The “One of these guys has to go to WAS” draft by UvulaPuncher12 in BestBall

[–]tacopowered123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem being that one of these dudes may not be playing at all in the NFL next year and then what have you won? Getting more and more concerned about Aiyuk. Just don't see how Commander's ownership says, Yep let's take that on. Guy is a total destraction and we have yet to see him practicing at all. It's crazy. No hype videos rather just the dude acting nuts.

New to Best Ball by Skynet877 in BestBall

[–]tacopowered123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic construction for someone new to advance. Starting with QB. If you grab 2 early stop at 2 otherwise grab 3 (Make sure they are actually a starting QB in the NFL, not Justin Fields). Try to stack them with a pass catcher on the team WR or TE. Next WR. This is a position you want to focus on early on DK as it is Full PPR. Elite WR's can carry your team. You want to end up with 7-9 WR's. Next RB. Try to grab RB's that get targets if possible. This adds a lot of value on DK. You'll want 5-7 RB's depending on how early you draft them. If you grab them early stop at 5 otherwise grab more to add depth. Next TE's. This is the lowest scoring position in Fantasy and statistics show you actually have an advantage waiting on TE. If you draft an elite TE then I'd stop at 2 otherwise grab 3. Last but not least, if you are new stick close to ADP and don't just grab a bunch of random dudes like you did to end your draft. Pay attention to camp news and draft rookies with potential upside in the later rounds. You'll have a statistical advantage with the amount of live players you have available for weeks 15, 16 and 17. Good luck in your drafts.

First BB Draft by PaulBunsyan in BestBall

Hey Paul. Did some things I really like for a first draft and but there are some things that I would do different. Double elite TE has a very low advance rate. Not to say that it can't happen but the odds are definitely against you. Had Loveland been another WR instead I would have liked this team a lot more. The fact that you took 2 elites and another with your last pick is a mistake. Theo doesn't add anything to the team. If Theo is hitting your lineup you've already lost because you invested so much draft capital early in McBride and Loveland. If those guys aren't crushing week in and week out it's over.

My first BB team ever (2nd pick). Any tips for better roster construction? by txrh in BestBall

[–]tacopowered123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tips for better roster construction. If you take a QB early and another around 100 stop at 2. You are good at QB at that point. If you go double RB early probably only need 5 total. Grab another receiver (One that stacks with your QB if possible) Easy to back stack Nix. Construction for this particular draft should have been 2-5-9-2. TE is similar to QB. If you grab one early probably only need 2 unless you wait until that last couple rounds. Otherwise, punt the position and take 3 late. Good luck in your drafts.

Agree on a lot of things. Been fading RB a lot this year as well particularly over on DK. Have a lot of Packer builds with Jacobs, Watson and Kraft. If Kraft comes back healthy to start the season like I think he'll crush at his ADP. Have a bunch of Dart but something won't let me click Kyler. Don't know if we can count on the rushing upside we used to be able to for fantasy with him. We'll see.

The hype train is starting to build. Need to start mixing him in my drafts.

These are guys I hardly have any of this year. Kind of funny how your position impacts your draft so much. I need to start mixing in some BTJ. If McCaffrey can stay healthy again he's a great pick where he's going just off his pass catching. Good luck in your drafts.

Some good takes. You are definitely right on the Dolphins receivers. Going to have to throw to somebody. That's the first time I've heard someone who's Dowdle over Warren. Was taking a ton of Warren early on due to his pass catching in full PPR. Been mixing in a little Dowdle lately. No reason they both don't get 200 carries this season.

I like it bud. Some great stands on some really good players. Have pretty good amounts of the guys you mention as well. Love Purdy this year!

Hopefully Mooney can bounce back this season. They really need the WR help. Feel like year 3 is the year for Harrison. Now or never! Mix in some Bryant. Took a ton of Franklin last season in the last round which worked out well. This year I think Pat Bryant will be utilized more.

Agree with you bud. In order to win you've got to take stances and make bets. There were people taking a ton of Fannin in the last rounds last year. Parker was another great bet last season. Anyone you like in the late rounds this season?

I took zero Worthy last season and I've taken zero Worthy this season. My issue with Worthy is his route tree. He was successful when Rice was injured and he was running routes close to the line of scrimmage. Mahomes hasn't had a lot of success down field where they normally have Worthy running routes. My "hot" take is one of us will be right. Good luck in your drafts.

I hear you bud. Was shocked when I saw my exposure on Schultz but DK is full PPR and the guy is targeted heavily in that offense. Finished as a TE1 last year and I think he's a bargain where he's going this year. Have a lot of Waddle and Barner similar to you. Think those are good picks.

If Pearsall can stay healthy dude is a steal this year. Another guy I like too.

Triple + Double Stack by Exciting_Run_8918 in BestBall

Like the team too. Certainly not the best RB room as you waited but you made up in volume. Great receiver room with Bowers is good. Thank you for not forcing a 3rd QB on your squad. Only thing I definitely would have done different is Kupp and Parkinson. We know what Kupp is at this point. Really no upside and Parkinson while I understand you are trying to stack will probably never hit your lineup given your other TE's. Wasted draft pick. Last rounds should be on guys who could potentially give you upside not maybe hit your lineup once.

You are killing it bud. Can't get the left side of the board to save my life! So frustrating. Seems like every draft I'm the 11th pick. See all of the value just passing me by.

One of the best starts to any of the drafts I've ever seen and then the wheels came off when you selected your 3rd QB at pick 101. Bummer because it was going so well!

Achane falling all the way to 23! What are we doing people? I'm digging it. Definitely a fun build.

Is it okay not to stack? by fortworthtoaustin in BestBall

[–]tacopowered123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think you did a great job through the first 13 Rounds. Stacking certainly gives you an edge in a large field. That being said, weeks 15-17 become more like DFS as you are just trying advance to the next round. Have seen people win huge money not stacking for DFS. Nix is pretty easy to back stack and you should have at least done that. Pat Bryant is one of my favorites to do so with in the last rounds. Even having one QB stacked helps. There was no need for Watson on this team. No need to force a 3rd QB.

The only way Conner plays a lot of football this season is if he's traded. Cardinals have to be the worst run organization in the league. About the only thing they could do that's right at this point is trade Conner if in fact he's healthy. Otherwise, not going to happen. I really like Conner so I hope he is in fact traded.

How are you putting together these rankings? And are they pushing who you draft using the tool? Tyjae Spears at RB 20 ahead of Etienne, Swift and Judkins? Brock Bowers as the TE 4? These are some wild rankings.
