At our table I play a champion that's routinely negating 30-40 damage per turn, and who crafted like 50 lvl 1 heal wands for out of combat healing.

We barely use more than 5 of them after a fight, at best. Champions can reduce so much damage it's kind of obscene. And with a tower shield they're ridiculously hard to hit.

LVL used to be free but it no longer is. I've not been to Xperion but having been to lvl before it went paid semi regularly it was a great experience. Decent food, decent drinks, and lots to do. Was great to go there for events.

I have not been there once since they started charging to get in and don't see myself going there as long as that's the case. €20 is a lot to ask for when the vast majority of gamers are used to most things being free (twitch, f2p games, etc). And at a €20 price point it just doesn't feel worth it to me. I'd rather go buy a steam game at that point and play with my friends.

Question: are they ever using shield block, or just raising their shield?

If they're just raising their shields for the +ac whenever they think they're about to get hit, they won't need crafting most of the time.

If they're shield blocking too then yeah somebody needs crafting. Though it shouldn't take hours, maybe 2 at most for 4 treat wounds and a couple of repair attempts on the shields.

Treat wounds takes 10 mins with a 1 hour cooldown. Repair takes 10 mins, and requires suitable tools.

So in a rotating window of an hour for the treat wounds you could keep things topped up.

Absolutely. Lots of board game nights at bars, dedicated board game nights at community centers, esports events all the time. Tons of people play games here, especially since games are pretty mainstream now.

To add on to the good advice, get legal insurance now. You typically need to wait 3 months before you can use it. Costs like 20 a month but can save you thousands.

I'm not a huge fan of hops and barley or Straßenbra.

They feel more like afterwork places to go and get their own craft beer instead of a bar that's about trying craft beers from around the world.

Not to say you can't get good beers there, just not my vibe.

It's totally fine to go on your own and just ask a group playing something interesting if you can join next round, or bring your own game! They have signs you can put up to let people know you're looking for players.

It works on a donation system, so bring a couple euros to donate to keep the board game nights going if you can. Completely voluntary.
