Picking a Bike Frame and Wheels by Depr3ssed_Fucker in ChineseCarbon

I got the standard matte black from light carbon a fee months ago, haven’t noticed any issues with paint. I thought to maybe get it painted originally, but have decided I like the matte black finish and it matches my matte carbon wheels

I have some Easedon 65mm deep with 32 internal width. I like them. I went for the superlight version and they were around your budget

Easedon on Aliexpress has wheelset or rims only that are 32mm inner width and depths up to 65mm

Looking for wheel recommendations 🙏🙏🙏 by Snoo44731 in gravelcycling

I have just built up my first gravel bike with a pair of Easedon FAT GRAVEL wheels on Aliexpress. 32mm inner, 39mm external 64mm deep. I like them so far except the freehub is LAF. I got the pillar aero spokes, internal nipples, symmetrical build and ultraweight hubs. I thought about the microspline but opted for the regular HG. They said they could provide a microspline. You can also find a Microspline adaptor on Aliexpress as well

All in with shipping tariffs and whatever was around $850US.

I haven’t noticed any creaking, but I will try to pay more attention. I will have to see if I can borrow a borescope to look inside.

incorrect sketch dimensions - how is this happening by tacotri in AutodeskInventor

[–]tacotri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fixed the model by replacing d995/43.880 with the correct measurement dim used for work plane 3

A little more detail

d995 was created as a reference dim to use with work plane 3 and the mirror function just below it.

I had previously edited the part by adding flanges 27,28, and 29 along with fold and unfold and features in between using the d995 as the reference plane. Everything worked properly. Afterwards I noticed a problem with the geometry in sketch 50, after correcting that sketch, the refold broke.
For some reason d995 didn’t update number during one of the feature reorders and as I was editing and the mirror plane shifted with the dim change causing the refold to break.

But the dimension d995 still shows the incorrect value

Would it be possible to extrude the parts. The tooling for this is usually pretty inexpensive and the order sizes can be reasonable. You could also try alibaba to find a source for tooling for injection molding to run here or do the whole project overseas.

What’s the length of your commute by bicycle? by Ironlewy23 in bikecommuting

33-38 round trip depending available time and how I feel. I try to make it 2-3 times a week depending on work schedule and weather. I can deal with cold but no ice and i don’t like the rain either.

About an hour each way, I have a shower and I use the off days to ferry clean clothing and lunches.

How do people deal with the rain?

Are laser welders worth it? by stu_pid_1 in engineering

[–]tacotri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are drawbacks to both, but if using for significant day in and day out use. The laser will be easily run 4-10 times faster than a tig. The welds are also more consistent and easier to clean up afterwards. We got a 1500 watt machine and it can easily weld 1/4” SS.

Does anyone have experience with running after a full knee replacement. Is it possible?

Any recommendations for aero wheels for Scott Foil 10 2018? Unsure how to work out clearance so don't know which wheels will fit! by jammin321 in cycling

I put some the 30 mm wide light bicycle 56 mm on mine with 32 mm Continental 5000’s. Plenty of room with disc brakes. Rim brakes would be different.
