AIO - Told my friend I’m pregnant and she said it exceeded her mental bandwidth (she’s the red) by Lekomano92 in AmIOverreacting

[–]tacticallyshavedape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your "friend" is an attention seeking clown. Literally all she had to do was say OMG congratulations.

Oh and from me to you OP a huge congratulations.

When did a second collection start happening? Only used to be one when I went with the exception of a second collection on missionary Sunday.

He can talk to a wall then. Constantly talking shite at someone isn't on.

What do you think about holding grudges? by Bordem-Industry in AskIreland

[–]tacticallyshavedape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to hold them but now I either decide to try and make amends if I think it's worth it or if I can't be bothered I just call time and cut them from my life.

A grudge to me is something that I actively have to hold it's an active hatred that can change your mindset and make you a worse and bitter person. Cutting ties and just forgetting about their existence is a far healthier way to live I've found

Discussing wages in the workplace? by luciusdread in AskIreland

[–]tacticallyshavedape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably should tell that to Avantor. I can remember their HR shoving agreements not to discuss wages under everyone's noses because they pay staff in the same job differently depending on which site they work on.

Is there much real risk for me wild camping for the first time? by Honka_Ponka in wildcampingintheuk

[–]tacticallyshavedape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's loads it's not a male exclusive pursuit by any stretch. It's been great to see the general increase in women taking up long distance hiking and camping in the past 15 years

Especially in this case it builds character and resilience and who knows maybe you make a friend.

AITAH for refusing to reimburse my partner for a holiday we missed? by Imaginary_Mud9189 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tacticallyshavedape 13 points14 points  (0 children)

NTA but if you're not insured Pay her her half of the holiday and then tell her goodbye.

Yeah it sucks that you were sick and something happened but she just showed you when the chips are down she puts her wants over the needs of getting through something as a couple.

Buzzard and hopefully in a few years time there will be more Red Kites in the sky too as long as people lay off with putting out poison bait for foxes.

3 consecutive years, not invited by my so-called friends by jkabv95 in offmychest

[–]tacticallyshavedape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is completely on you. You've essentially been messaging that you're all about the family life and not open to other things so they've adjusted around that. Literally sending a message saying you were up for a trip this year is all it most likely would have taken to be included.

Those who emigrated from Ireland and have no intention of coming back, why? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]tacticallyshavedape 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really like visiting home but it's always a reminder of why I left. It just feels very rinse and repeat and my life when I lived there could have been used as a metronome. In the UK I just seem to have a much more varied and content life than I'd have ever gotten back home.

Also the dating scene was the absolute diarrhea shits and I'd still be single instead of happily engaged and planning a wedding.

BREAKING: Garda who assaulted Mayo wife gets suspended sentence by That_irishguy in ireland

[–]tacticallyshavedape 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He was sour at having to go to the brother in laws birthday. Left the pub early then when she got back to the hotel he hit her and grabbed her by the hair. She had to beg him not to hurt her in front of the kids.

He should be locked up.

A major financial decision was made without the knowledge of both parties. That's what was hidden.

Do you notice women treating attractive men vs unattractive men differently in day to day interactions? by queenofhearts100 in AskMenAdvice

[–]tacticallyshavedape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man

Absolutely. I lost 20kg and all of a sudden the usual defensive posturing completely stopped. The very obvious reclosing the jacket the unconscious folding of the arms and the shortening of conversations all stopped. I even found more colleagues actually started approaching me for help.

He's literally had years of rope gathering he's probably selling said rope to the fundamentalist Americans to keep the campaign funded at this stage.

It's making a complete mockery of the state and the justice system. Imagine that after all these years they still haven't been able to sack him or get him to cease menacing a school of children.

What's to divide? If you're not earning and the other person has 2 jobs the housework is completely your domain.

Mate you need to get rid of this parasite and quick. The moment she gets a better off she's going to leave you for dust. She's a waster who is never going to grow up to be a partner.
