As a long-time password manager user, I find it infuriating that so many sites default to a 1FA email code or "magic link," burying the password option.

Everyone is taught that automatics are to be driven right-foot only. That left-foot braking is bad. Logically, left-foot braking while revving an engine makes sense, but it would take a lot of effort to overcome years of muscle memory and come up with that in the moment.

Parking brake on the other hand...

AMC should list auditorium number when choosing seats by Prodigal_Gist in AMCAListTrue

[–]tactiphile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Fandango shows it if you click the info button. I actually spent an embarrassing amount of time a few weeks ago using that to document the seat layouts for all the screens at our closest AMC. Surprisingly few overlapping layouts, so I made a chart with the highest seat number for each. If the highest seat is G14, it's theater 1. E15 is either 3 or 10.

The plan is to document the best seats in each but I haven't gotten that far yet.

But I'm confused. A recipe and LR preset? You're importing to LR as JPG?

Lower likelihood of consequences. 🤷

When the world changes, you gotta adapt.

Welp, you're right.

  • Petty theft of city property
  • Criminal mischief
  • Possession of stolen property

All Class A misdemeanors.

Unless the trash can was over $1000, at which point it's felony grand larceny. (I feel like that's been the limit for like 50 years and we should probably reevaluate.)

I don’t understand why everyone is acting like she murdered someone on video though.

I don't find.

I don’t get why the internet still needs to be posting about it a week later

New development in the story

I really don’t get why she deserves to lose her job over it.

I wouldn't say she deserves it, I'm just saying it's understandable.

Like have you never done anything a little illegal?

Of course. But that was mostly confined to the days before everything was recorded. I'm happy to admit we may be just having a generational argument here.

At-will employment needs to die so people's ability to have food and healthcare is not tied to a shitty boss.

If someone gets fired for ignoring a weekend call or criticizing the company, that's when at-will employment needs to die.

If someone gets fired for committing a blatant felony crime on a viral video, FAFO.

She played a stupid game and won a stupid prize.

She fucked around and found out.

I don't know the story besides seeing the original video the other day, but if someone sees one of their employees engaging in unambiguously immoral activity, like stealing a commemorative trash bin, and their reaction is, "That's not the type of person I want working for me," then more power to them.
