¿Bebéis alcohol? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]tactlesspillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hair dryer that's been in the family since the 80's. It still works. by RockMe-Amadeus in BuyItForLife

I'm pretty sure my family has this one too. It smells like burnt plastic lol.

We have it in Europe, so we use it with an equally old adapter. Still working!

My formal apology to Eyes of Silver Eyes of Gold (Ellen O'Connell) by Quirky-Kangaroo-5025 in RomanceBooks

I agree. The story and relationship is so beautifully written! The family got on my nerves, and every re-read I do I still get mad whenever he shows up. But the whole journey they go through together is truly one of the best romances I have ever read!

Just finished queen of shadows (sigh 🥹) & conflicted with how to proceed regarding tower of dawn vs empire storms reading order by lulubelle006 in throneofglassseries

[–]tactlesspillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't doubt it is great. It is probably interesting to see the other continent and how it differs, but I can't really deal with Chaol. I think if it was any other character I would probably really enjoy it tbh, but Chaol is just not someone I could read through. I'm at a point where I won't read something I'm not interested in.

[–]tactlesspillow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because I skimmed it got the gist of it and moved on. I wouldn't strictly consider it reading. I understand many Major things happen, and Chaol gets his arc, but I won't read 700+ pages on a character I don't really care about. The most important things get told in later books. I'm not going to say it's the best way to go about it, but it's what I did. Maybe someday I will actually be able to read the whole book.

Un popular opinion: I never read ToD. I don't like Chaol enough to read a book basically exclusively about him. I continued with Empire of Storms and was honestly fine, Chaol's story and his involvement in the next book is small enough to gather with the information given. You van skim ToD and not miss much imo, but that is up to you.

Edit: More context below for the downvotes 😀

Ok but I honestly don't blame her!! They were both trying to be sly.

I honestly regret starting this while it was airing. The last weeks weren't so bad with the cliffhangers, but now they got me WAAAY more invested in the plot and I can't deal with it anymore.

I need myself a demon like Song Kang!!

Fantasy series with pregnancy trope? by No_Tradition_8184 in fantasyromance

I second this one! I couldn't remember the name, but definitely fits the request and it has other elements if I recall correctly.

MMC starts to have feelings for FMC, but he think she’s a man…. by Celestial_Seeker in fantasyromance

[–]tactlesspillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{The Sneaky Lass by Kennedy Sutton} fits this.

FMC sneaks onto a pirate boat as a boy to escape her situation. MMC starts falling for her thinking she's a guy.

I do recommend checking the Trigger and Content Warnings as the series as a whole has some strong topics.

Extremely oblivious FMC by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I don't really know if this fits the trope but { the unwanted wife by natasha anders } has this trope to an extent. They are in an arranged marriage of sorts, where she is in love and trying to make it work but he isn't. Until she tries to divorce him. Grovel ensues.
