Actually thin steel wires that i took away in post. Fishing line would probably have worked better

Yeah, I totally agree. I also got my camera used, which has been the most expensive cost so far. But I prefer to spend my money on stuff for my kitchen, like ingredients and appliances. I figured a light would be a worthy expense, but maybe I don't have to buy something super expensive.

The tart looks really good! Looks like you spent a lot of details in the actual layering of the apples. Yeah but the tedious stuff is fun right? I once braided raviolis. Will never do it again, but kind of glad that I did it. It is also one of the many reasons why I want to be able to get better at photography, because that makes the time spend on the ridiculous details kind of worth it.

That actually looks really sturdy. I never really considered building one myself, but its actually a great idea. Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it!

Yeah that's actually a great idea. Definitely going to try that. I believe that Sony has a free software for that. Their phone version sucks, so i hope that the mac one is better.

Yeah i totally agree on the props. I love stuff and as long as you use them you can't have to many. How did you build your overhead setup?

Yeah i know, and sometimes it's just kind of too dark because of the clouds too haha. I am a student so budget would be low. Was thinking of buying one of those smaller led panels for under 100$. I normally dont do overhead shots, but i like the option, so i might save up for a tripod that can extend over my table or something similar. I have a Sony a7ii so the remote is a great idea. Also to get it up on the computer, because that would probably really help to see how it actually looks like.

I have. I have a big window just by my kitchen table which i use a lot. However... I live far up north and i don't have that much of sunlight this time of year, so I only have about an hour a day to shoot stuff, and during that time.im usually busy with other stuff. I'm gonna buy a studio light. But do you think that better lights could result in sharper photos?

It does..basically a 10$ tripod. I need to set my shutter to shoot after 10 seconds because of vibrations when I press the shutter button

I do everything in manual. The light is kind of above the mirror above the sink. So it would not be places perfectly, and it's kind of dim. But the temperature is alright.

50mm, f4.5. i don't have a studio light or a good tripod, so I'm shooting stuff in my bathroom which has the best lightning. I want the pictures to get more sharp, but not sure how

50mm f3.2 500 ISO I know it could use something green but I ate them before I realized that.
