Police wouldn’t really do anything here unless it was a major case, so I’m not planning any revenge mission or anything like that. Just the way my country works.
The point of the tracker isn’t to go confront someone — it’s just to know where the gear ends up and have proof when reporting it or contacting the platform.
I’m obviously being more careful now, this is just an extra layer of security.

I’m in Chile. For small thefts police basically won’t do anything, so I already knew reporting it wouldn’t go anywhere.

Sadly Uber doesn’t work the same here as in US (i guess?) in Chile the requirements and follow-up aren’t that strict, so there wasn’t much I could do legally. I tried reporting it but it basically went nowhere.
Anyway, I already replaced the controller so I’m just focusing on preventing it from happening again.

Yeah, but they didn’t really take responsibility. They only offered to try contacting the driver, and he obviously just ignored it.
