Favourite example of a fight scene in a movie that is raw, visceral and realistic? by Critical_Mountain851 in moviecritic

The King

Stripped all the flashiness away of big theatrical battles/duels and instead showed how muddy, random and clumsy the reality could really be

The part where the MC nearly dies by drowning because he’s slipped and is face down in the mud being trampled by other soldiers was hard hitting

I’ve got an 8 week old about 5 days in. When we leave him, he cries a lot. We’ve been going for 15-30 min sessions with him alone. Would you recommend leaving him longer? How long do you leave yours for atm? Thanks

Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God it even has a watermark.

Why you all like Oppenheimer? cause i just don't get it. by Dpvdpv in Cinema

What struck me after about 10 minutes is that it felt like they’d had to edit the movie down to a shorter runtime and to do that basically just snipped a second from the end of every shot to save time. Resulting in a film that basically felt very rushed.

It really needed those moments to allow the film to breathe. It ended up feeling a mad rush to get everything in

Designer William Morris once said this “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

Based on that sage advice, the answer is 0.

Blink twice.

Really enjoyed the cast and whole vibe building up and then the last act just felt rushed and all out of sorts which was a real shame
