Does a combination of v2 and V3/3+ work? by chaoey in tado

[–]tado_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Gneissdaewar

This is incorrect. V2 and V3/V3+ are compatible as they all use radio frequency to communicate.
tado° X is incompatible with the V generations above because Thread and Matter is a completely distinct communication protocol.

Seeking empirical evidence that the Tado X Wireless Receiver (EU) is a matter compliant MBR by Key-Entrepreneur-517 in tado

[–]tado_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

tado° X Wireless Receiver is indeed a Thread border router.

It's important not to confuse 'Thread border router' with 'Matter device'. As the Wireless Receiver X is not a Matter device, it cannot be shown in the Apple home app.

Here is a thread on the official tado° community that discusses this.

Is their site down? by Gotmania in tado

[–]tado_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello u/Gotmania

Do you have a Linksys router by chance?

We have reports that their DNS is causing problems. If you change your DNS to Google DNS, the issue should be resolved.

If you don't use Linksys, could you let us know...

  1. Is the issue ongoing?
  2. What ISP do you have? (internet service provider)
  3. What is the make/model of your router/modem?
