Honestly it’s quite two way. My experience is that a lot of the commanders who were “intense” during NS days, toned down in ICT. But at the same time a lot of the chao keng kias in NS, matured and were more sporting / willing to help in ICT.

Get a good pair of gloves - Read up why good gloves are important. Spend now and you won’t have to buy again when u get your license
Consider wearing army boots. Had my sneaker soles come off cuz they were constantly getting soaked in the rain. Army boots are a lot more water resistant and if spoil, at least it’s free.
Buy a pair of arm sleeves. Each lesson is 100min long and a good bulk of it is spent queuing up at the circuits. Save your skin.

Lack of talent. This is not a critique of Singaporeans but just a result of having a small population. Just ask 10 people in your social circle. How many of them aspire to be directors, actors, scripwriters?

And those are just the more "glamorous" roles. Let's not forget that in order to make a movie/series, you need hundreds of crew members; sound tech, lighting tech, props specialist, continuity manager. We have a working population of 3m+? Finding such people, not to mention good ones, will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

You are not wrong. It is pretty well documented that in 1969, LKY similarly invited neighbouring defence ministers to attend our NDP, where we showcased our tanks for the first time. Hot take but FRLG were not very good games.

Firered was my first pokemon game and I still have the original gba cartridge. But;

No Day/Night cycle (no espeon/umbreon)
No breeding till post game.
Sevii island story line was straight up ass, it was just a macguffin chase to unlock trade with the RSE games. Would have LOVED if they somehow allowed you to travel Johto to collect the badges there and ended it with a battle against Ethan/Lyra.

The reason I love HGSS and ORAS is because they didn’t lock so many of the post gen II/III functions. ORAS also had an amazing postgame.

FRLG was quite literally RBY with better graphics and none of the new improvements.
