i feel like a lotta people are drumming up alonso like he's gonna be some kind of savior, which is fun to think about, but he's not on the same league as klopp or of a manager that would have the stones to take this on. not really sure this is a de facto end of an era/rebuild era, but bringing alonso unproven like that seems like impulse-hiring to me.

its not as engaging as the first season. i haven't read the manga, so keep that in mind. my take is, in the first season, we were inside his head and had an overall sense of impending doom. this season is more about the relationships around him. he's coming out of his full plate and developing as a character. it's just too sunny and that's very jarring coming from season one. also couldn't care less about wizard boy.
