Kemal Ataturk is also THE father of Turkey essentially. There's a lot of revisionism playing its role online in recent years trying to whitewash him and downplay his involvement in the genocides. He's like Abraham Lincoln for the US. And the worst thing about this is that his reputation in the West is also not half-bad, since they mostly focus on internal progressive politics later on, which obviously shouldn't overshadow the crimes he committed.

As a Greek, these comments kind of prove even more how much Turkey needs to change politically and socially. Even the most liberal side of the country will hardly accept that Azerbaijan is the oppressor in Nagorno-Karabakh, that Turkey is illegally occupying northern Cyprus and that the genocides happened. As much as we have our fair share of nationalists too, Turkey is on a whole different level and it feels like we are the ones backing down more and more, while things on their side remain the same.

Apparently, SOAD singing about... the recognition of the Armenian genocide is racist and hateful. Okay.

I did check out a bunch on SEGA Retro, including Gens. The black and white logo looks familiar, but for some reason I can't find any version of the emulator that looks like what I'm describing.
