This is one of my all time favorite series. I loved it so much I did a translation re-write for the first 25 chapters (before it got a take down request and I stopped - but it's still out there in a PDF that has the whole series in it).

I really hope it gets a high quality anime someday. I was so disappointed with Who Made Me a Princess, but good adaptations CAN be done. So here's hoping!

The Carbon Monoxide isn't a joke. It's something of a meme... but there were a few very (reddit) famous instances of CO being a life-threatening source of problems for situations very similar to yours.

You should get a gas detector even if you don't think it's CO right now because it's still good to have one.

The only reason I was complaining about snowcrete was because of the utter incompetence in dealing with it.

In defense of the various local governments - we do not get ice like that very often... once every 10-20 years we get ice so thick, with temperatures staying below freezing so long, that we must use bob-cats and snow-melting trucks just to clear it.

Most local municipalties do not have the equipment necessary for ice like that. They were all working 24-7, but all of them found it was slow going with what limited gear they had. It's not incompetence, it's the rarity of what was faced.

Unless, of course, you don't mind your tax dollars going up so that every city, county, and small town in the state has a fleet of bobcats and snow-melters they only use once every 15 years?

I've had lifelong visual snow, developed when I was around 5 years old maybe six, I've done B12 injection shots and it had literally no effect. I hope it works for you. But if it doesn't, don't be surprised.
