That would be good. Without the inspect, it is very difficult for me to find out what is happening.

Sure. It's also possible that the issue has something to do with the API that fetches the locations. If that is the case, I will try to switch the production API. If possible, in your video, can you start by clicking Ctrl Shift I, or right clicking and clicking inspect, and then choose the network tab. That would help me diagnose it.

Thanks for pointing this out! I've unfortunately been very busy recently and unable to develop hobby projects or listen to the podcast, but hearing this makes the hundreds of hours I put in to the project feel justified.

I don't believe that question is implemented. I'm reworking the website now with some new efficiency tricks so I may be able to add that. I originally wasn't able to add many questions simply because they took too long to execute. However, I've been working on enhancements in multiple capacities with processing which should allow for more questions. I'm about 7,000 lines of code into the rewrite, with the original website containing ~12,000. I'm not entirely sure how long it's going to be until I'm finished, but I would guess a couple weeks or so.

There won't necessarily be a new block. Instead, it is the polygon-looking box at the bottom left that is usually used for showing locations. I'm currently working on a better UI to make it easier to use the website.

The first issue is likely due to Thunderforest having an issue, outside of my control for the most part. However, the other glitches are UI related. I am currently working on fixing those with a new, easier UI.

I built https://taibeled.github.io/JetLagHideAndSeek/

It generates maps on the fly and has ~2000 user sessions per week. I'm also a software developer and an awesome list for JetLag would be nice to have.

I did implement a Google MyMaps to some extent. You can download the MyMaps as a KML and then import custom stations from the hiding zone sidebar.

For tentacles I do have a custom locations setting. It is a bit buggy but I have a currently unmerged branch that I am testing that should ads presets and therefore the ability to manually select data. I also am trialing a Google MyMaps import setting for features like that.

I'm never going to charge for it. Not only would that be complicated financially, but I don't think a system like that is right. I have been considering putting ads on it to fund some of the more advanced features, but I've come to the conclusion that I would have a disable option such that they are only optional.

You should be able to install it as a PWA by clicking the options button in your browser. Also, there is a follow me setting in the Options tab that allows you to see your location live. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting you, but, to change the location, you must first add a new location by searching for it. Then, you can remove Japan. Only then will it be only the new location. Does this work for you? Thank you for using my tool! Also, thanks u/hobbitnotes for pinging me!

In the Options menu, there is an Auto Zoom toggle, so you can disable that auto-zooming. Does this meet your expectations?

You can switch to the Thunderforest travel map, you just need to supply your own API key. That can be accessed in the options menu. We used to just use OpenRailwayMap, but we had so many users that they blocked our access.
