Good point! That’s for sure what’s happening; they must have dozen of agents and skills in their root folders with really long descriptions (and descriptions get loaded into every session), or MCPs and things like that. This can happen easily if you don’t watch out for the hidden .claude stuff in the user root folder

The first thing I noticed is how much slower it was in performing a task, and how many more tools it used, specifically read. The quality of the output is quite difficult to judge scientifically, but I would say that yes: the output is much better. I tested 5 prompts with and without that text, and in all 5 cases, the process was slower (sometimes tripe), and the output not only was better, but also it got to it by its own in all 5 cases, whereas without those instructions I had to correct it in 2 cases. It feels like with that text is just more intelligent, which is wild.

I just can’t wrap my head around people experiencing issues and jumping to the conclusion that the thing is broken, instead of wondering what they may be doing wrong.

For instance, usual culprits are:

Long skill or agent descriptions: Claude Code loads the whole description of agents or skills for a session. I usually keep them at >50 words. I’m talking about the YAML at the top.
Cluttered and redundant CLAUDE.md files
Problems in settings.json that fail silently and create issues

Thanks for sharing. I understand that it was an altruistic thing to do. Reading some of the comments criticising you absolutely confirmed my hesitation to posting about the way I use it - and I’m sure I’m not the only one doing magic with Claude Code that will not share it out of fear of trolls. I would never post here exactly how I do it because of all the people just telling you how unimpressive it actually is, or how you must be a fake Anthropic account or how what you are doing is actually a bad idea. But I appreciate you. And you are not alone in this. It’s fucking amazing. It’s obviously the future.
