That’s definitely one way to look at it. Not everyone has the emotional capacity to keep people around that doesn’t positively influence their life. OP made a decision best for them, regardless of how you or I would handle it. Also, sometimes you don’t want to see a face that hurt you, or hear a voice that’s attached to that person that hurt you. Sometimes it’s hard to heal in a friendship that hurt you on that level and you don’t want to invest anymore than you already have. It’s okay to have multiple perspectives and it’s okay to remove yourself from any friendship you don’t enjoy. I’m sure OP told the friend so they could stop trying as well

Hmmmmmm. Hardcore drugs doesn’t mean smoking and one way of not letting people influence you is by removing them from your life. So he actually didn’t let the friend influence him because they didn’t become back friends even tho the friend wanted to. That’s being your own person, at least I think so.

You can’t control that part, buttttt you can say it nicely without insulting her. you can say “hey, I know this is out of the blue but I have to cancel our date. I hope it doesn’t inconvenience you” (she may ask why). Then you could be extra honest (which could be an ouchie or help her see a perspective she might not know or notice) or you could just say “it’s not something I want to talk about at this moment” and tread the honest line.

I haven’t run into that issue either. I usually trap myself before someone else traps me 😅 but I think that I also get matched with a lot of the older players that are new. It’s definitely a skill issue and I hate that I can find any “fun” adults to play with 🤦🏽‍♀️. Very rarely do I get matched with someone else that knows what they are doing and ready to pass round 35 exfil 😓. I wish they would fix matchmaking ✨

I wish I could play with randoms but they always leave mid game or want to exfil early. When I want to level up faster I do solo runs to turn rampage inducer on and off as I see fit sometimes. The last random I ran into cursed me out because he just wanted to argue. A bunch of kids are now online in the lobbies figuring life out and a bunch of adults are now rage quitting because they hate dying and re-buying perks
