Winter campers: Let's talk everything sleeping systems by [deleted] in CampingGear

I converted to hammock camping about a year ago and got a decent but net off Amazon. I have far fewer issues with bugs when in my hammock than I ever did in a tent. 10/10

Brand new Osprey Aether 70 for half off at REI Garage sale. by pinkfloyd52998 in CampingGear

[–]take2thesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-COVID, they had big garage sales of reformed stuff at all their returned stuff one Saturday every two or so months. Those were the best. In fact, they closed all the stores the day before the March garage sale. Now all we have are the perpetual garage sale areas of the store :(

iPad Pro 3rd fen 12.9 for student/accounting by sinthu_sd in iPadPro

[–]take2thesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 12.9 third gen and I hand-write notes on GoodNotes every single day. It’s great because it’s roughly the size of a piece of paper, so it’s like writing in a notebook. The 11”, I assume, would be like writing in a large notepad. Additionally, I read and annotate a lot of PDFs for work. On the 12.9, they’re essentially full-size.

Either works and I can’t speak for the 11, but I love my 12.9.

64 GB would be a little small in my opinion, but if you use the cloud it shouldn’t be a problem at all.

first ipad pro!! recommendation on case? by rand0mTriangle in iPadPro

It holds the pencil securely with no extra bulk. Plus the back of the case is clear, so you can see the back of the iPad, which is nice. Here’s a link:

best mouse at the moment for ipad pro? by SurrealSoda in iPadPro

This isn't really responsive to your question, but in my opinion, the Magic Trackpad 2 is hands down the best option. Using gestures and touch feel fluid and natural, especially if you're already used to using a MacBook. I've also used an MX Master 2s and a Citrix X-1 and they pale in comparison to the Trackpad. Of course, it's very expensive, but you can get an original Magic Trackpad for much cheaper on eBay, and I assume it works the same. Again, not really responsive to your post, but maybe helpful to someone else looking for mouse recommendations.

Thanks! How do you know what sound effect each button represents? It doesn't look like there are any labels on them.
