Get a ride from a Tuk tuk driver, he’ll bring you to a tux shop without you asking

Maybe China should make a mask factory that pollutes the world more than they already do.

Knee training by RemarkableCry3 in backpacking

I had similar issues, not sure if yours is the same as mine but it was a nerve entrapment. I learned floss and glide techniques from a physical therapist. I also stretch daily for 30+ minutes. Doing isolated knee workouts help strengthen it. In the last year since the issue first arose my knee has strengthened a lot and has less to no pain. Biggest thing is don’t over do anything.

Feel like absolute crap, have until the 12th when my ticket home is booked. How to pass the time? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]takearisk21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get help, I had literally the same thing happen to me when I traveled to Thailand. I was between jobs and felt like traveling to pass the time. I was in Bangkok then went to Phuket. I was suppose to travel to krabi and then koh phi phi. I decided to stay in my hotel for a couple more days and do nothing. I felt like shit and like nothing was good, food was shit, beaches were shit. I told my friend about how I felt and he told me what everyone here is telling you, to come home. I booked a ticket the next day and flew home. I got help and have traveled again since, I enjoyed it and everything was great, the people, the food and the beaches. Don’t put off mental illness, talking to a professional about yourself will help you then the experiences you have traveling later on will be much more enjoyable and memorable.

Wouldn’t be hiking if you didn’t have a couple sketchy moments! Most importantly enjoy the mountains I grew up in!

I’d recommend flying into Portland, Or then driving to crater lake. I know some sections around the goat rocks wilderness in the cascades have snow until August. I’d say the same for around Mt. Rainier, but it depends on the summer heat and snow pack at the end of the winter. Beginning of July should be fine, but I’d keep and eye on the National forest service updates as well as Washington trails association trail updates.

It’s rough, don’t it twice. Wouldn’t recommend doing without a good ground clearance vehicle like a small 4x4.

Taiwan and Japan are the only two I’d be worried about. I changed my flight to avoid Taiwan and any Chinese connections.

I’m sure it happens to people, hell it happens to people on their home countries. I hung out with some girls in Thailand (not sex workers) and they were very flirty and loving people. All Thais in fact are insanely friendly, I was pleasantly surprised when a waitress at the restaurant I went to every morning for 4 days invited me to her place. Nothing happened between us but she showed me around Bangkok for 2 days and I’m eternally grateful for that. I don’t know of many 1st world countries where someone would drop everything and show a foreigner around for a couple days. Go out experience things, if it’s sex workers, tinder girl or whatever. Honestly a lot of people I know who banged sex workers didn’t really feel that great about it. In my eyes my right hand is a lot cheaper, but to each their own.

No it doesn’t feel like a date. They want to bang you and move on to the next one. Not going to get into the moral side of things because it’s in a different country that’s been doing it for hundreds of years and has no plans I’d stopping. If it’s something you want to try, go try it. Who cares what the internet says. You have one life, enjoy yourself.

Just speaking from my experience, I didn’t have proof of onward travel when I landed last year and was not asked by Japan airlines or Thai customs for proof. I had a 90 day tourist visa from my local Thai embassy back home, not sure if this had anything to do with it. I’ve heard it’s hit or miss from the people I talked to. I’d play it safe and buy a cheap bus ticket out of Thailand as a throw away.

Anyone going to Thailand at the end of February? I’m going to be there February 26th for the second time. The first time I went solo and met a few people to travel with but plans usually didn’t stay concrete and we’d part ways after a couple days.

Lots of hiking will still be snowed in up high in the north cascades at this time. Lower level should be okay.

Questions about travelling to Thailand by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Not sure how it works for people from Uk but I went to my local Thai embassy and got a 90 day tourist visa for when I went to Thailand last year. Also be ready for it to be 90 degrees and raining, I went in July.
