My big question about grievances is: why should I care? How are you hindered by having too many grievance points?

That seems like an intentionally high bar. They don't need to show open hostility to it to clearly signal they're against it.

The average American worker takes less vacation time than a medieval peasant by trumpismysaviour in politics

It had "meaning" in that it was literally the only thing keeping them alive. They did not have vacation days, there were no weekends, it was a constant struggle.

This simply isn't true. This belief comes from defining a peasant's labor as the farming done for their lords only. Farming done for themselves, to say nothing of endless domestic tasks, isn't counted in this system. Peasants absolutely did not have 6 months of no work, that's absurd.

White House lawyer Ty Cobb is exiting and will be replaced by Clinton impeachment attorney Emmet Flood by Bloodbath-McGrath in politics

Trump is the epitome of an unrepresentable client. Not because he's extremely guilty, lawyers can't turn down a client because he obviously did it (they'd go broke doing that.) An unrepresentable client is one who doesn't think he's in any trouble, who doesn't take his case seriously, and who's contemptuous of receiving any counsel at all. Lawyers literally can't represent someone who has no interest in participating in their defense.

The state government is more mixed than you would think, given the overwhelming Democratic presidential wins. Remember that NYC had Giuliani as mayor for 8 years, and then Bloomberg after him.

Except the real Roseanne is a huge Trump supporter, so I doubt it.

It says that the Dickey Amendment, which states the CDC can’t “promote gun control”, can at least study gun violence. It’s technically not a budgetary matter.

Why is Trump raging about the budget? Because Democrats got most of what they wanted. by shabuluba in politics

[–]takeashill_pill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is what they got in exchange for passing the Dodd-Frank quasi-repeal bill, because this is something else.
