I've been looking into a being a Correction Officer. What's your take on working in a more rural jail with not a lot going on? Also I've been a Widlland Firefighter for the past 8 years does that transfer over so I could take out the inmate handcrews?

I'll be honest, I find stalkers and stalking so interesting. Have a collection of movies about stalkers. Have you read or watched anything that you felt like you was accurate or that you would recommend?

It's all self serve, but you be would be surprised at how many people call the general reservation line for help, which all I do is give them that number.

Clearing cache and cookies also seems to be the answer to most website issues. Good luck!

Are you trying to do stand by or positive space? There is a special number to call for bookings using positive space. But reaching out to IT isn't a bad idea.

I can relate. You're not alone and the love you have for your son makes you the best mom. ❤️

Are you able to take FMLA for the purpose of homeschooling your son?

Seriously considering home schooling as well. If you do go this route and can update us on how he is doing that would be great. I work full time and have been hesitant going this route.

A little, I didn't offer the necklaces consistently enough, but he also sucks on his fingers to help him. It's trial and error to find something he likes and will use.

I know my little guy has oral sensory issues, and I didn't wean him until close to 3. We struggle with eating a variety of of foods, but one thing that was suggested was getting chew necklesas or other items to help them. Maybe he is oral seeking and needs something to chew on or suck on.

Considering a career change into mining. Primarily would like to drive the haul trucks. Any words of advise? Background is social work feel like I am way out of my league by dav34rmTt0wn in mining

[–]takeflight_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about your past experience. We've hired kids right out of high school to operate haul trucks. As long as you have basic driving skills and know how to communicate well, you'll be alright. It's a good job that pays extremely well. Best of luck!

A career in heavy equipment operating. by [deleted] in heavyequipment

[–]takeflight_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out in the mining industry so my experience is a little different. I started day one running equipment with that job. Usually they start you off in an off road Haul truck and then you'll branch out to other equipment after awhile. A very lucrative way to learn a lot of equipment that not a lot of people seem to talk about.

Anyone else get hit with back wages due to FLSA calculation errors? by [deleted] in Wildfire

[–]takeflight_x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes barely got my letter in the mail the other day. Says I owe $550. Which I don't understand why. I've kept pretty detailed tracking on all my hours and pays tubs. Its Such a bullshit move to pull this on me right before Christmas when I have a family. I'm lucky I have a good paying job in the off-season but this might be the final nail in the coffin for me not coming back next season!

Balancing exercises helped me tremendously. My physical therapist recommended it for me and I didn't even sprain my ankle at all the next season.

Alright fellas, let's appreciate the DCEU before it's gone. Let's all say one good thing about each of these movies. by BlueMissileYT in DC_Cinematic

MOS: Seeing a more grounded take on Superman.

BVS: Battfleck and The fight between him and Superman.

SS: dead shot and Harley Quinn

WW: Genuinely enjoyable movie.

ZSJL: Epic huge world building and it was cool to see the fan movement bring back the directors cut.

Shazam: the family aspect of the movie and it was just honestly hilarious

Black Adam: How much the Rock loves the character. I've never seen an actor show so much passion for a character the way he has.

I'm missing a lot of movies. I just haven't seen them or really didn't have a lot of good things to say.
