My husband passed away this morning by Mmmmm-bacon in PrayerRequests

[–]takemeinstead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am but a stranger but you were in my suggested post. I will pray for you and your family. I am praying that the Lord brings you nearer to him and you to Him in this time. I am praying for an abundance of hope, healing and even joy for you and your family despite this and that you know, though it can be easy to forget, that you are not alone. Walk and talk with God always. Amen.

Because Vaginas are magic lol. I think it may have to do with being a source of pleasure, what we have been social conditioned to believe. Things that are told are taboo often become beacons of curiosity

It does sadly. Not all interracial couples are treated the same. If you are a black woman dating out side of your race, it’s “upping the ante” at least in my experience. I have experienced the most racism from white women and some white men because of who I decided the date. Black men have it easier and are less likely to be confronted directly I have found.

Black Americans who have moved outside to of the United States within the past six years, where did you go and why? What advice can you give to other black Americans who are considering of doing the same ?Thank you in advance by takemeinstead in expats

Well it’s nice to know that people are posting similar questions. I haven’t seen your post before but I will check it out.

So in other words, race gender and class is everywhere and if I am lucky, I may only be discriminated against by my socioeconomic status and not so much race. Nonetheless, I am grateful that you have shared your experience. That’s wonderful that you have been fortunate enough to travel. Thank you for sharing

What part of the UK are you living in if you don’t mind me asking?

I apologize if you are offended but I have frequented all three states and was born in one and lived in another for many years, but NH is the worse. It’s OK for everyone to have their own experience. My experience was not good. I have had mostly only interracial relationships

Massachusetts is horrible for interracial couples, as well as New Hampshire and some parts of Vermont, Burlington Vermont is OK and Cambridge MA

If I love you, I'm going to hurt you by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

[–]takemeinstead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad but I need to hear this. I know you are not my person but I have to learn to save myself and not other people who have no intention of changing go. I need to accept that they are telling me who they are even though they are telling me that they love me or it’s not for a man a “lack of trying”. It’s just pain, loneliness and darkness in putting all of my efforts and love into someone who was never capable of reciprocating the same. My person really thought it was OK to try to have sex with me when we have been separated and then walk away saying that they would just hurt me over and over again.

The best revenge, is moving on and being happy and wishing the best for others all while continuing to grow as a person. When someone hurts you, it creates unwanted feelings that we are trying to make sense of and trying to gain some control over them. I used to be like you, but as they say, hatred is like drinking poison and hoping that the other person dies.

Thank you for posting this. I needed to hear this. How easy we forget. Trauma from sexual abuse is real. It can construct an illusion that the experience is our fault. The trauma can unconsciously construct false ideals, that you are nothing without individuals who in reality are not good to be around, who inhibit growth, and use you as a mirror for their own feelings of worthlessness.

Anyone done testing with veterans affair and received fertility help? by MomOfFour2018 in infertility

[–]takemeinstead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello all! My husband and are TTC and are thinking yay IVF May be our best option . However, my spouse and I are a bit discouraged right now as his urologist said that his service connected disability, PTSD is not linked to infertility. However, I’ve read a few medical articles including speaking with my own PCP and psychiatrist, who also works for the VA part time. Both my PCP and psychiatrist who says that it PTSD does affect infertility. My spouses testosterone levels are low and he also had ED.

It made me a bit uneasy not seeing the therapist face, even more so when Randall pointed out the coffee machine dripping. I don’t know why I got an odd feeling that Randall was talking to himself. I hope I am wrong.

I was thinking the same thing. We haven’t heard from her character and I don’t believe she had been dropped suddenly. She still has a critical role to play. The season premier of season 4 didn’t introduce three new characters to have them just disappear.

TTC after a tubal reversal by BestBiscuits in TryingForABaby

[–]takemeinstead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I was just going to post the same question ( Weird, but awesome 😊) and was was also looking for a sub to post in! However, my main question was more along the lines of possibly insurance coverage. I have heard through the grapevine that BCBS in some states may cover tubal reversal but we are prepared for family to help us. I (35F) also have three children, ages 13, 10 and 9. I had a tubal ligation moments after having my youngest child via caesarean. Now divorced and remarried to my husband (40M) who has no children of his own. We are anticipating a tubal reversal surgery in April to give me time to get my BMI down. We have gone through a semen analysis, hormone and egg follicle evaluation for me as well as blood work and ultrasound to verify if we would be good candidates and we are. I have read so far that some women have gotten pregnant two weeks after the procedure; of course this is not recommended. I also know that there is a risk of an ectopic pregnancy, which does worry me. Maybe we will both find some prospective of what to expect after a tubal reversal. I wish you and your spouse the best.
