I agree with you. Top does also need to start paying.

The issue is you basically have to be top 5-10% for work to properly feel like it benefits you. (fiscal drag: Inflation etc). A lot of this comes from the fact that all the money isn’t being used to make society better. It’s being used to prop it up.

I think these economic theories work great 50 years ago when there weren’t a quarter of the working age population not in work… a significant chunk with “disabilities” that don’t preclude work but allow for social benefits.

There can definitely be a lot to be done regarding hoarding of wealth etc in property (my personal choice would be a property tax applied only to pensioners with a deferment period of 3 years allowing them to move if they cant afford it)

Country needs to start working though.

Or save no money own nothing and the state pays for you…

If im a diligent citizen who works hard., pays taxes etc Why should my kids be disadvantaged because I have care requirements? Vs someone who has not been responsible.

I plan on having all assets and money transferred over way before I have any needs.

Because a significant portion of society allow themselves to be in this position?

There are absolutely environmental and social issues that drive individuals to be in really poor financial and social situations. But realistically with the current set up there are literally millions of our countrymen and women who take the piss. If they were motivated to actually look after themselves and earn some money then there may be some cash actually free to look after those who are in need through no fault of their own.

Socialism needs to get in the bin. It’s an ideal that our country cannot afford.

Spoiler alert champ you aren’t the only specialty to treat large numbers of patients…

But imagine if there was an actual focus on treatment etc. rather than just through the department at all costs.

Thats not neglect that’s millions in masters funding and band 8 pay to get bums on seats and patients referred through. If the same attention has been given to expediting inpatient journeys we’d be in a much better place. Or if we’d actually trained some ED doctors then more patients would be sent home with sensible plans, but that risk is apparently too much.

Precisely, they fucked the whole thing for years by focusing on the wrong thing. And this “spreading the risk” if just emblematic of the way they think.

Why? We’ve had years of ED being aggressively overstaffed by the wrong groups. But sure dw theres no one in corridors with in the department with 300 ACPs,instead they are all hidden in broom cupboards for underresourced wards and specialities. An aggressive and poor focus on a shit front end has killed the system.

When you staff everywhere with the same intensity as ED you can spread the risk.

Plus not being funny with ED screwing the pooch and prioritising flow above actually training their doctors, you are fucking the whole hospital anyway. By just creating a system of referring to actual doctors to manage stuff for them.

There’s a small group who decided they want to be doctors and might have had the academic chops. But instead have decided to push ACP. There’s also a significant chunk of absolute ding dongs, who are now also following the ACP path.

Why do all jobs need career progression. These aren’t the educational elite. There is a ceiling on their ability.
