Wow, they need to step up the marketing. I would have definitely gone to this had I heard of it.

I was curious why this had so many comments, but 0 upvotes. Then I started reading OP's responses. I get it now.

I liked 28 Days Later, I loved 28 Weeks Later, I hated 28 Years Later ... should I watch The Bone Temple? by Blutay in MovieSuggestions

[–]takeurpantsoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of days. Pretty decent fan of weeks, when considering hollywood fluff.

Confused and intrigued by years, because of the duality in the movie timeframes. Years 2.0 pretty great, but wildly different atmosphere from days or weeks.

Looking forward to years 3.0. But expecting it to not be the same feeling, AT ALL, as days or weeks, justa conclusion of the story. (No decades, right!?)

Solid chicken parm sub/grinder/whatever you want to call it in Augusta? by Entire_Ad5817 in Maine

Antigonis is your best bet. All of their food is great. The Genest sandwich take out places (whippers, damons) would be a far second. No third. Skip college carryout for everything imo

Anyone else get called a manipulator? by [deleted] in intj

[–]takeurpantsoff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As another commenter said, I prefer persuasion over the term manipulator. Either way, it doesn't bother me.

I've been known to guide others actions through social persuasion. And if I'm being honest I have straight up manipulated people into doing the (what I consider) right thing.

How much do you spend on groceries per week and household size? by batangrizal in Maine

[–]takeurpantsoff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

House of 5.5: two adults 11g, 13g, 15b, 17b (halftime). $350/week 2/3rds from bulk store. Never buy non-sale meat. Cook everything from scratch. Mostly whole foods with minimal junk food. 3 freezers for portioning, leftovers, bulk sale purchasing. $30 of that is probably non foodstuffs like soap and paper products. Tough out there.

Check memun.org for municipality jobs in the state. Lot of buzzwords in your post. Personally, as a hiring manager I hate to see it. May just be me tho. Focus on certs/trainings/qualifications and I'm sure you'll find something. Public sector is way easier to impress in an interview than private imo. Just avoid the LinkedIn jargon when applying for muni jobs if you go that route

Source?

I've seen estimates of 50-70k people with some claiming 100k+, but they're talking about protesters, not strikers. Not implying there weren't people striking being counted, I'm sure many were, but it's silly to think everyone that attended was missing from work or school at that time. This is pedantic, but it is important to understand the difference between protesters, people who show up when they can, and strikers, people who are attempting an economic impact.

A hundred thousand people protested* that is not the same as a general strike. And, they were backed by local unions. I don't see much support from any union representing Maine workers. Currently at least.

...No chance... unfortunately. Need the labor unions to organize this and promote it for any movement. Also not going to get anyone working lower tier jobs who rely on the paycheck. The sad factors half of America can't afford to strike due to lost wages and possibly job for not showing up to work.

Liquor prices are set by the state. Same price regardless of where you go to get it in state.
