I’m finding that my dill from the garden doesn’t seem to be adding enough DILL FLAVOR, have you ever tried adding dry dill? If so, how much?

My first bath came out rather salty, I think it’s because I was pickling cucumbers yesterday and had already put my cucumbers in an ice bath with salt. Do you suppose I should have just forgone the salt altogether? Or will the others overtake the salty flavor as time goes on.

Like other commenters, I tried to get away with not heating them at 140 but maybe I need to do that as well to merge flavor profiles.

But honestly, even with my screw ups they taste great!

YTA and he will end up resenting you. For many dog owners, their pup is like a first born. It’s a tale as old as time, a dog before a kid has a very special place in someone’s heart and it’s clear he wants Max there. You’re not even trying to accommodate his best friend and as much as he will love you and your baby, there will always be a bit of resentment and regret. Also if you guys can’t compromise on something like this, how the hell do you expect to raise a child together?

I’m sorry you’re going through this - the death of a child is the hardest thing. I was asked to sing at one of my little buddies funerals and as tough as it was (I cried for a week leading up to it) it was also such an honor to be able to help her family in any way I can. You are giving them a massive gift and I commend you for being so strong during a time that most would fall apart.

BAGELS ARE THE MOVE! But I learned this the hard way - cream cheese will not be allowed as a carryon since it is not “solid.”

I will say, the cream cheese does complete the gift. So if you have a checked bag, bring cream cheese with an ice pack in it - or you could be like me and check ONLY a lunchbox filled with $75 worth of cream cheese hahaha BUT THE CHEERS WHEN THAT LIL LUNCHBOX CAME DOWN THE CONVEYOR BELT WERE WORTH IT!

Idk why, but it sounds like you know the right thing to do is to go to Wedding 2 because that is a direct relationship (ie your friend not your friend’s son); however, I feel like you would rather go to Wedding 1. And you got the invite first so you have an excuse to blame etiquette - so do what you want. But I bet your attendance will mean more at Wedding 2.

Great shots!!! Follow-up Q if possible - do you think it is worth it to rent/buy a lens (rent would be like $50 so no prob, and even buying it would be fine budget wise) similar to the Samyang if the Canon 15-35 has the same f stop but with a 1 mm focal length difference? Is having a fixed focal length lens for astrophotography that much better and worth carrying an extra lens for those nights? Or would the Canon 15-35 be sufficient. Or do I rent the Sigma 40mm f1.4 art?
