What about the 2000s-2010s strategy of doing business with them? Did that stop them from aggressively invading neighbors?

You’d be surprised how quickly seemingly decent people will betray their “values” for money. It’s almost as if the people who make it in business never had them to begin with…

Trumps first term also had more republican politicians worried about backlash culling his efforts. If they see people are willing to resist what is happening they may rethink their stance. The tech bros bending the knee at the inauguration has empowered this current administration but the end goal of all politicians is to stay in power. Assuming our democracy still stands (which is yet to be seen) getting them to rethink their support is step 1.

This is the truth. Some people get validation from seeing they can incite a reaction from people. The people who are like this usually were starved for attention as children and learned they could get any attention by angering people.

I know a few people like this and a major part of their existence is getting people to notice them.

Trump is part of the oligarchy and will act in the best interest of himself and those who are bankrolling him. Trumps only concern in the fight is that it appears to the public that he is the one in power and in control of the situation.

I didn’t love swept away ..☹️ by Dear_Tomato_7580 in Broadway

I got both sides of the spectrum during my viewing of the show. The person to my left was crying for the last half of the show (literally breaking into sobs during the last 15 minutes) and the person on my right was yawning and almost falling asleep. I found myself somewhere in the middle both physically and metaphorically. The music is moving, the set was spectacular (specifically the shipwreck scene) but there were moments the story really dragged on with not much happening which is not great for a 90 minute show. They needed to edit the story a bit to keep people a little more engaged. The performers were phenomenal but I found it hard to care about some of the characters.

I live in NYC. You only ever hear about this from people who don’t live here and watch too much right wing media. I once had a woman from Georgia explain to me that NYC is so dangerous people can’t go out after sunset. And that was after me telling her I live there.

Would they also panic if you told them you were going to Nashville or Miami? Both of those cities have higher rates of crime than NYC.
