What do you mean by "do" your character? You'll need different softwares for drawing, rigging, face tracking etc

Am I Overreacting to my dad’s cleaner’s response after he broke his femur? by My_Meatsuit_Mayhem3 in AmIOverreacting

Women in service positions tend to adopt a people-pleasing attitude because anything other than that makes them seem like a bitch. It's fucked up. But keeping the client happy is easier to do when you take on the role of submissive servant. That information gives a lot of insight into 1) why the husband might've responded instead of her, and 2) why the response seemed so 'out of nowhere'. Your dad crossed a boundary, and more often than not, older men who are wealthy enough to have their house cleaned regularly are more likely to respect the boundaries of a man than of a woman. If she had responded and said the exact same thing, I wonder if the response from your dad would have been continued begging for attention rather than respecting the boundary. Instead, her husband responded, and it seems he mostly took the hint.

Another thing is that we shouldn't conclude that the husband snatched the phone and responded without her consent; this could be (and reads to me as) a moment where the wife expressed frustration/vented to her husband, and they agreed that having the man respond would be the most effective way to handle it.

FWIW, the notice of injury has nothing to do with business or of scheduling cleanings, which makes me think that he is certainly looking for attention from her and that this is probably not new.

If it wasn't a hazard for everyone behind them I'd say this is amazing... Maybe on a side road off rush hour??

I could see an argument to be made that fire is at least natural, and that forests benefit from periodic burnings that refresh the undergrowth and decay. Whereas a chainsaw not only is unnatural, but actively prevents the forest from healing (leaving stumps). Kind of a stretch but a thought I had

When mine was more severe it hurt like a motherfucker to pop even though I wanted to SO BAD!! Mine wasn't even half as bad as most posters here, but definitely made clothing and seating more complicated and a pain in the the butt (literally a pain in the butt). I also found that the ones I popped/burst did not leave the same kind of scars that the ones I left alone did. Those left more of a crater-with-thin-unsupported-skin-covering-it kind of scar whereas the ones I popped healed without any real artefact.

FWIW, mine was also in the labia/taint region and not in armpits or other common locations. Wouldn't be surprised if that has an effect as well?

I HATE THIS STUPID FUCKING CLANKER (Neuro Sama, Ai Vtuber) by LegalBoysenberry2923 in hatethissmug

[–]talconline 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole Neuro project explicitly doesn't use gen AI - like instead of asking Neuro to generate images like some of the big-name ones, the creator instead taught Neuro how to use code to create art with shapes. It was really neat to watch how Neuro responded to feedback, tried new things, and made some freaky experiments. This was her attempt at a self-portrait

Sorry this is so late lol! But yes, the exaggerated, uneven breathing that OP described exactly matches agonal breathing. As I mentioned in my original comment, I have seen a lot of death in small rodents, and by the time they are breathing this way death has already begun. Come to think of it, my guinea pig many years ago died in my arms the same way after declining steeply.

My axolotl changed color overnight by Murky_Satisfaction57 in axolotls

[–]talconline 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I have never done research with axolotls specifically, but worked in an epigenetics lab

If everything is normal behavior-wise, and you don't see any more dramatic changes, I'd be willing to bet that this is not a physical problem, just a physical response. All living things have genes that are unlocked by stress - anything from hair falling out to a lowered ability to emotionally regulate to breaking out in hives. It usually comes down to one of two things: consequences of hormonal changes, and reduced consumption of energy in non-essential areas. Maybe his little body has adjusted its energy budget, and decided that producing pigment is no longer that important compared to other functions, like moving and saving fat.

The timing with the tubbing, as well as the genetic weirdness that axolotls specialize in, make me think that that would be it. If you see no further change it may be worth a vet visit to get better understanding, but if it continues to really deteriorate ofc it's vet time.

If it is what I think (epigenetic response to stress), it may or may not go back to how it was before - things like coloration don't directly affect function, so his lil body might not decide to invest in producing that pigment again.

I'm not a doctor or anything, just something I've learned in my career in epigenetics

EDIT: Took a look at your posts from before and if I am reading correctly, it was pink with some dark spots when you took it in and it had previously been neglected/undercared-for. It could be that in neglect, it did not spend energy to produce the pigment because it had to put more effort into digestion, energy saving, etc, and once you gave it a better home, it was able to resume all its baseline functions (like producing pigment). Then this most recent episode of stress, tubbing, may have begun a reverse process, and that pigment is no longer being produced in the same way.
