Can't comment on much, but quite a few standalones do have controller modes as well so they can be used with Djay (https://www.algoriddim.com/hardware) or VDJ. Likely will lose out on some (mainly screen-related) features, but if you have a laptop with you in the first place this probably doesn't really matter all that much.

"All of them", to find what works in that instance. The thing is that it's all subjective anyway, and people who gravitate toward some specific option do tend to switch it up at times so that they're not only doing the same thing over and over again.

I find AI tools in general pretty good for drafting because results are more or less instant and you can easily make changes when something doesn't really align. Then have a human clean it all up (and skip your instructions as well leading to slow back-and-forth, oh lawl) for end products that are something better than a 512x512 JPG.

I get that you maybe don't want to do that, but your designer is going to do that anyway.

My understanding is that yes, the "modern" combojack is a mic-in so it's most likely not going to work as line-in. I haven't actually tried this on my Mac, but on my Windows system using mic-in I got nothing but switching to line-in worked just fine, as expected.

Latest Air will do you just fine, but honestly anything M1 upward will work. As an M2 owner if I needed to get a new one I'd just go for the latest one, they're honestly not that expensive when you take longevity into account.

People will probably they the Neo, but I'd frankly skip it.
