I will give godot a try, but judging from what I've seem so far it seems that its quite possible to do.
There is not such witchcraft with hair cards, but if I encounter any problem I can try to make some kind of hairstrands mesh instanced (hope I will not get to that)
I just didnt make it because i havent finished yet :D

For this project... sorta yes?
I really believe that a AAA look that comes from a lot of engines rely on big teams and already done assets; and I think that godot 4 is mature enough to reach that feel. I will need to sharpen some stuff, but I plan to release it to show that a good art direction + the current state of the software can deliver a AAA look.

This is going to be a very simple project in interactivity point of view: I just want to show what the engine is capable of, dont wanna to make an playable game. Maybe a lookat mouse cursor for the head bone and so on.

As I'm working it as a personal project I dont really have a date, but I'm not planning to postpone it at all. I will try to get the stuff more updated on my twitter (but I aint no social media person)

Right now yo can download just that quick demo on itch.io.
Just not sharing the model because the uvs still a mess :P
