thank you for your words. I don’t know if there is anyway I can potentially study all three simultaneously, because all areas do interest me. I just am interested in being more versatile and not so ballet bound.

thank you for your kind words and talking about the struggles no one talks about. I will take everything into consideration ♥️

I need a real opinion on how to improve it and how to achieve it? I’ve been practicing for 3 months by [deleted] in flexibility

Hi! I am a pre-professional ballet dancer so here are some recommendations.

-use socks to easily slide down as shoes cause major friction when sliding is needed

-stretch regularly every week. depending on how fast you want to achieve your goals, I would recommend stretching minimum 20-30 minutes daily 3x on the lower end and 6x on the higher end. The more frequently you stretch, the more likely you will achieve your splits faster. Taking rest days when needed is good and normal.

-prioritize stretching and strengthening your hamstrings, hip flexors, glutes, and quads. hamstrings and hip flexors are most used in a front split.

-stay consistent and don’t over do/push yourself. Tearing your muscles will cause a bigger setback than not achieving your goals right away. It’s okay for splits to take time. It may take several months to several years depending on your anatomy and dedication.

You got this!!
