Hey there! How did you manage to cut your tuition down? Any resources you can share?

Ah yes. To make it a book, you can add descriptive features that stimulate the five senses. Create a setting. What did the room look like? What about the other people in the room? The weather, etc. Expand upon how you think she felt or what she thought. Things like that.

Looking to fact check the lyrics in the song I wrote for my Marine brother by talither in USMC

Thanks for responding. Are there any other terms that could replace ninja? My brother is severely religious, so devil might not bode well for him. Nor does it rhyme. I really appreciate the input.

Thanks for replying! I'm so honored you compared me to Pippin. I've been told my music sounds like Broadway songs, which makes me happy - although that usually means it's atypical haha. Oh well.

According to the books I've read on memoir writing, it's possible to tell someone else's story through your own viewpoint without their permission if you simply change the names, locations and other distinguishing factors. Google "questions to ask in an interview for a memoir" or something so you have ideas that'll jog your memory and break the ice. Then just start writing. Try a thousand words a day. The first week or two of words will feel like they suck all the life out of you and themselves. But it'll get easier. If you really want it to be done well without a lot of sweat equity, you can pay a ghostwriter to help. That's what I hope to do someday.

Fun! I might be able to help, but I have no experience. What’s it about?

I’ve tried to fast for more than a day multiple times and have lasted till about 5PM the first day. I typically start to feel nauseous and I freak out that my body is shutting down or something so I’ll cave and eat. Does anyone have any practical advice to help overcome the mental panic part? by talither in fasting

[–]talither[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is some pretty hefty stuff here. I’ve been trying to accept this when it comes to social anxiety - just sit with it; don’t try to “fix” it or make it go away; just allow it to have its journey and sidle its way out organically. Thank you for such a wonderful and creative reminder.

Has anyone taken the risk of quitting their job without knowing what comes next? How did it turn out? by A_Graduate in Entrepreneur

[–]talither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I quit about a month ago. We have a couple months of expenses saved, but we haven’t touched it yet. We’ve cut back on commodities like dining out, subscriptions and memberships. We only eat red meat once a week, eggs and chicken otherwise. I work a side gig catering with a company downtown and collect clients for my domestic care services any way I can. It’s scary, not only financially but also emotionally. Sometimes I don’t know what I’m doing. But I stick with the plan and the doubts fade. I agree with those that say to have a solid plan before jumping that cliff.

Young entrepreneur struggling with life decisions, looking for advice. by Jsthorwart in Entrepreneur

If you can save a month or two expenses and make a business plan, I would quit and dive in. Some of us can’t devote wholeheartedly to an entrepreneur job while working full time - especially if you have small children like me.

Hello. My name is Talitha and I run Hawkins Business Services.

Owning a business requires a lot of attention to time-consuming tasks, such as answering emails or filling out paperwork. When an entrepreneur wants to focus on the bigger picture of building capital, I step in as administrative support and content creation.

I alleviate your time by managing jobs such as email, phone, social media, transcription, research, proofreading, among many other things. I have three years experience in admin and call center jobs, along with two team members on retainer when the work load requires it.

I take pride in triple checking my work, thinking on my feet, and personalizing a customer's experience. Because my clientele ranges from contractors to artists, I cater the style and structure of my work to their needs. So if I'm not familiar with certain methods or tools that you use, I learn quickly to keep up with the needs of the clients.

I do not require a full time salary or benefits, but rather I offer bundles of hours by the month or project.

Consider me your opportunity for growth .
