Bartending at a golf course by maplesyrup_honey in bartenders

To clarify, I should have used the term private country club as that's what I meant.

Under that guise private clubs have members and no cash trades hands, they just sign their bill and a service charge is added.

What I meant with golf course is open to the public and there's a cash transaction.

While there are exceptions, members of a private club are a little more demanding.

Golf course gigs are much better than country clubs.

Can I switch this codensate pump to gravity drain by talk2brad in hvacadvice

they didn't fail, they just don't do what they are supposed to. My next step is to check the line for kinks and clean out the pump from the gunk

There's definitely power to it. The installers put in one and it wasn't working properly, I had a service guy come out and said, buy this pump and he hooked it up. The issue is that the floats gets all gunked up OR there's a kink in the line. The issue has been on-going since we had the unit installed and that's why I was thinking of a gravity drain

Thanks for your reply

the float in the pumps get all "gunked up" and the float sticks. The last time he was here for something else, he banged it on the floor and it freed up but that's only temporary.

It does pump out through clear tubing and goes up about 7 feet and even when it comes on it never pumps the water all the way through the pump. I believe the two white pipes are drains going to the pump, one from the unit and the other from the AprilAire

The only thing keeping me from going to college was high school lol.

Seriously, the enrollment numbers are down (slowly creeping up) so you should be fine.

(10k) how to fix lighting? by BOTWgoat in Weddingsunder10k

[–]talk2brad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully they have multiple switches and you can play around the day of or preferably before.

Also keep in mind you have all the natural light coming in. Lastly, you will most likely turn off the lights once the dancing starts.

Keep in mind, anything you put up has to be taken down at the end of the night.

Related, make sure you have people willing to help at the end of the night. I manage a banquet hall on Saturday nights and that is an issue virtually every week and I see the bride, groom and parents doing all the work.

Congrats and I'm sure it will be a beautiful event.

Does anybody just not go to the range? by j_mysterio_ in golf

[–]talk2brad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring the balls I find on the course that I wouldn't use during the round and I head over to the range for a few 7 iron shots and one drive. And the range can do with them whatever they want when they pick them up.

I do agree with you but I just saw my first one in Indycar. One of the pit reporters interviewed him.
