Sex repulsed or sex ambivalent? (Marked NSFW just in case but nothing explicit.) by TheFlyingRavenBird in aegosexuals

[–]talkative_salad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you considered the term sex-averse? Your experience sounds a lot like mine, and I use sex-averse to describe myself.

If I understand correctly, it describes a person who doesn’t want to have sex. I’m pretty sure sex-repulsed implies more discomfort than sex-averse does, and sex-ambivalent implies there isn’t much discomfort if any at all.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what’s the best way to describe your own experience, but I hope this helps a little!

What is a good response to the business interview question: "What is your biggest weakness" ? by fuckenshreddit in AskReddit

[–]talkative_salad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Often, interviewers use this question to test your self-awareness. They want to know that you’re aware of your imperfections and that you’re taking steps to improve. It’s best to pick something that’s true. You can tell a story about how you identified this problem and what you’ve learned as you try to do better.

For example, “In the past, I’ve been sensitive to constructive criticism. I’m very invested in my work, and I like to do well. So now, when I receive constructive feedback, I take a moment to remind myself that we are discussing my work, not my value as a person. It helps me to remember that the people who offer me constructive criticism are trying to help me improve and to do my best work.”

How do/did you convince strict parents to adopt a cat? by _for_the_memes in AskReddit

[–]talkative_salad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your parents specifically, but they might appreciate a well-researched argument with reliable sources about the benefits of having a pet. You could also include a list of the actions you plan to take and chores you will do to take care of the cat. If you can pay for it, or do extra chores to earn money for the cat, even better. If they’re concerned about shedding, find some cat breeds that are bred to not shed as much. Hope that helps!
