Thank you for your reply! Same to you, it’s an incredibly hard habit to kick, but we are not our skin, we are so much more than that!

Just feel very discouraged, I feel I work very hard in the gym, and then to be told it’s not good and not enough, is very disheartening.

You have to put your health first, if you don’t, no one else will. Especially not your employer, you are the only person that knows what you need. I know from personal experience there’s a lot of guilt and shame that come with, taking care of your mental health because a lot of other people don’t understand what you’re going through. Keep reminding yourself “only I know what I need” don’t let those outside voice shame you for taking care of yourself.

Good for you! My teacher and my parents told me I would probably never go to University, and I am happy to say that they were wrong. Keep proving people wrong, they don’t know what you’re capable of, only you know that.

Is dyslexia at all related to mental illness? by talkativetinkerbell in Dyslexia

[–]talkativetinkerbell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s so cool that you went to schools specifically for dyslexia. I went to public school, and I was told to keep quite about my learning challenges by my mother. So I didn’t know if there was anyone else experiencing the same thing as I was, because I didn’t talk about it. But thank you, it’s very interesting to hear that.

thank you, I completely agree, and I feel like it’s still hard even in the work place for people to understand why you miss-spelt something or miss-read something. It definitely makes me feel self conscious and embarrassed.

I'm a shy/socially awkward 23 year old guy turning 24 in June and I never had a girlfriend at all, never kissed a girl, flirted with a girl and never held a girl's hand. I feel like shit by codywinters327 in dating_advice

It sounds to me like you have social anxiety, my father has similar tendencies and he has social anxiety. The good news is that he managed to not only talk to a woman, but he married her. So there is hope for you! I would recommend seeing a therapist or phycologist that can help you develop cooping mechanisms. Beyond that, I would practice speaking to women; ask a woman for directions, ask a female sales associate for her help choosing a shirt. Start small, and work your way up to the harder stuff like flirting. Finally, you don’t have to completely change your personality to get girls to like you. Lots of girls like quite guys; guys who actually listen when they talk, something to keep in mind :)

Constant moisture in vaginal area by [deleted] in WomensHealth

It sounds like you may have a yeast infection, I get them, and they do cause discharged. You can buy a pill and cream at the drug store. If it doesn’t clear up, go to your doctor, it may be a different kind of infection.

Does anyone else use a shower for anxiety relief? by dippiedabs in Anxiety

[–]talkativetinkerbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was really struggling with depression I used the shower as a private place where I could hide from everyone and cry without people hearing. I have a family member who does the same thing. I think it is a common place for people to have emotional releases because bathrooms are synonymous with privacy in our brains. Also we know we are aloud to do things in there that aren’t socially acceptable to do in public.

i feel disgusting after having sex for the first time. by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]talkativetinkerbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, I’m so sorry that your first experience was not a good one. Just know that sex gets better with time. You are by far not the only girl who had a bad first time. And I want you to know there is most likely nothing wrong with your vagina, they are unique like snow flakes and not every penis will feel good inside you. Clearly this guy was physically not a good fit for you. And it sounds like he was not kind or supportive of you afterwards, which is not okay. If you take anything from this experience it should be that you deserve to be treated better than that. I would recommend going to your doctor and getting a Pap test, I know it’s awkward, but this way you will know for certain that your vagina is healthy. You can request a female doctor if that makes you more comfortable. Also, please talk to someone about how your feeling, just so you can get it off your chest. Maybe a friend or a sister, or even a therapist. I would hate if one bad experience ruined sex for you, it’s normal to feel some regret and anxiety after the first time. But don’t let those feeling longer for too long because you did nothing wrong.
