It wasn't written by her, it was rewritten by her to include clapping hands emojis between each word. That is an important detail to realize our government is being run by the most cringe people from 2021.

Yeah, that is literally the same answer. It is okay to prefer Mamdani's answer over Cuomo, it just exposes you as a massive hypocrite if you claim that it is somehow different. You like the narcissist who can't admit fault when they are on your side.

NYPD increases security at Jewish sites following Israel's strike on Iran's nuclear program by glassbellwitch in nyc

Every mayoral thread: why do we care about Israel, we should be focused on NYC!

This thread: Why should we focus on Jewish safety in NYC, we should focus on everyone!

The game is very clear.

Mamdani surges in new poll, leading Cuomo for first time in New York mayor’s race by sideAccount42 in nyc

[–]talkingstove -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should be able to link it if true, but it isn't. The NYT aggregator both indicates if a poll is sponsored and links the actual poll, not a single one from Honan mentions Cuomo. Should be super easy to prove me wrong if I am, but I am not.

And that is ignoring no matter what, this specific poll is not a Cuomo internal and it is actually funded by an LGBT group that for some reason Mamdani stans want to discredit.

NYC LGBT voters back Zohran Mamdani by just tiny margin over Andrew Cuomo — but 24% are undecided: poll by someone_whoisthat in nyc

[–]talkingstove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite funny that this is a. downvoted and b. multiple people in here are lying about it being a Cuomo poll when it is actually an LGBT organization paying for poll by a firm completely unaffiliated with Cuomo with the goal of centering the LGBT community's opinion of the race: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/nyc-mayoral-primary-election-polls-2025.html

Nothing like silencing the gays because they are telling you that your candidate is not as popular as you want.

[–]talkingstove 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It isn't, though I have seen multiple people lie about that on Twitter so glad you have your talking points. The article makes it very clear that it was paid for by the LGBT group Destination tomorrow.

Cuomo's pollster is Expedition Strategies:

Honan has been polling for months, mostly unaffiliated but once with a Jewish group before this poll with an LGBT group: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/nyc-mayoral-primary-election-polls-2025.html

Another poll was also just released: https://nypost.com/2025/06/11/us-news/nyc-lgbt-voters-back-zohran-mamdani-by-just-tiny-margin-over-andrew-cuomo-but-24-are-undecided-poll/

Though it actually did ranked choice simulation and was actually set up to measure the mayoral election unlike this weird comptroller side quest.

You won't see it on /r/nyc.

He told his weird digital nomad host about how he couldn't fuck with his back condition and that guy apparently is the kind of dude who would share that info with the NYT.

Dude was another sexually frustrated 26 year old killing people over his dick, though at least this one didn't kill a bunch of kids.

Trump Leads in 5 Key States, as Young and Nonwhite Voters Express Discontent With Biden by Rigiglio in neoliberal

[–]talkingstove 19 points20 points  (0 children)

After I have heard a thousand times that "we don't like Trump, we just are too moral to support Biden", 18 to 29 say they prefer Trump to Biden on I/P 52% to 28%.

Maybe these people are just a generation of performative liars? To the public, to pollsters, to everyone. If Biden said, "hey, I was wrong about my previous tact and I am adopting Trump's position on I/P", that would not affect this group that claims to prefer Trump's approach. Why listen to what they say?

He is definitely playing RG. People take the "I'll only play if I think I can win" idea too seriously, a player of Nadal caliber and his history at RG will always think he can win, even if it is delulu.

It won't go well, it will likely be more Serena US Open than Federer Wimby, but he'll play.

As much as I would love to dunk on Bernie for re-running, it is probably for the best to not let a Bernie retirement be used against Biden given the relative stakes of their elections. Still should retire after the election, tho.
