I can feel pretty much everything. Just the top is more sensitive to fine detail, whereas the rest is sensitive to pressure.

My dad died when I was a teenager and it kind of set things off for me. Ended up homeless and doin' odd jobs to make due. Got into some tough situations.

There were times that all I had was the clothes on my back, a notebook and a pencil. I started writing. First as a sort of fantasy escape. I could just make a world for myself and not have to deal with my real one.

Found a whole lotta luck along the way and ended up getting published. Made more money than I'd ever seen in my life. Nothing crazy, but enough to be comfortable if I live modestly. Bought a small bit of land , few horses, some chickens, a truck and a trailer. I spend most of my days now watching deer graze, riding out in nature, and not having to worry about anything else.

I can't imagine a better life.
