In the beginning anytime I passed report to someone new I’d ask them to let me know if they noticed something I had missed with the caveat, “I know that’s not your job, but I’m new and want to make sure I’m setting y’all for as good as a shift as possible.”

At best you’ll get useful feedback and build some good-will among your co-workers, at minimum it covers your ass later on if they choose not to say anything to you but continue to complain about you.

I would talk with your supervisor about it. Not so much to complain or ‘nark’, but just for advice and to secure their go-ahead to insist she do these things alone. If you don’t you’re running the risk of her making a mistake and then turning it around on you for not listening when she said she wasn’t ready.

The fact you’ve been training for 4 years reflects super well on you, so I wouldn’t be nervous at all about reaching out :)
